My husband and I has stayed in this hotel 3 times since it's opening. It is
incredibly affordable and the rooms are nicely decorated. Big flat screen and
extremely comfortable bed. The only thing I noticed this time was a whole
conversation by our next room neighbours. Walls are sort of thin. Also there was
an empty bottle of wine cooler in one of the garbage cans. Obviously was
overlooked by the cleaning crew. Overall, it's an excellent option for staying
off the Strip.

I stayed at the Eastside Cannery for 2 nights before moving to the MGM Grand on
the strip for 2 nights. I must say that in every way, I preferred the Eastside
Cannery. The rooms were just as nice, if not nicer. I appreciated having a frig
in the room, which MGM Grand's room did not. The table limits are lower, and the
food prices are more reasonable. The buffet was good (not great, but for $7.77,
certainly well worth it). The hotel's Mexican restaurant and their fine dining
restaurant (forgot the name) were excellent. All of the staff for the hotel as
well as the gaming staff were very friendly. The price of renting a car and
staying at the Eastside Cannery was still significantly less than the cost of
just staying at the MGM Grand. With so many places offering free parking on the
strip, I wish I'd stayed at the Eastside Cannery the whole time and just driven
to the strip, which is only about 10 minutes away.

Room large and comfortable. Staff nice. Food passable. Service good. Small
casino with lots of smokers but not that crowded as to be uncomfortable. Travel
to and from airport can be expensive.

The rooms were well appointed & super clean. All the staff were very friendly
and accommodating. The buffet was great and I even won a little money. Can't
beat the price either! No problem staying here again.

We enjoyed the Cannery and had good luck gambling. Vegas still smokes and does
here as well. All was good, however I had asked when we made reservations how to
get out there from the airport as we were meeting friends and didn't have a car.
We were told to hop a cab and the price should be around $25. You can imagine
how my blood boiled as I watched the meter reach $60 from the airport out to the
hotel. I believe we only paid $35 for the one night stay at the hotel. We could
have rented a limo for $80.

We visit Las Vegas a couple of times a year and usually stay in an MGM property,
as we did for the last two days of our visit this time. But, we decided to stay
here for our first night in LV because it was close to Sam Boyd Stadium and we
wouldn't have to traipse back to the strip in the wee hours of the morning when
our event ended.
We were pleasantly surprised, the room was very clean, modern and had a floor to
ceiling window view-pretty cool window. The room was very quiet and the bed was
super comfortable. We also had a 32" LCD in the room-very nice touch. We hit the
Mexican food resturant before we left for our event-nice and quick, good food.
The service and staff at this casino/hotel were very good, I would not hesitate
to return and stay another time. It is roughly about six or seven miles (15
minutes) down to the LV strip, but I understand there is a shuttle that stops
here frequently.
If you are traveling to LV and have a car to get you around this little gem is
worth the stop, great rates too.
Thank you, Eastside Cannery - we'll be back.

This hotel on the Boulder Highway is a smaller hotel which makes it very
comfortable....no long corridors to walk, no gigantic casino to walk through
before you get to the rooms. We enjoy staying here because the price is
definitely right, the rooms are comfortable and a good size. The floor to
ceiling windows are great and the view from the hotel is lovely from all sides.
We have stayed at the hotel twice so far and have found the housekeeping to be
adequate although we have had some plumbing problems which they attended to
promptly. The cafe has good tastey food. We haven't tried the buffet yet but we
are booked for December this year and hope to give it a try this time around.

The negative thing about this hotel is the check in process was slow. They only
had 1 person on a Saturday night? Internet for $12.95 per 24 hour is very slow.
The 2 queen bed deluxe (standard) room is very spacious and clean. The beds were
comfortable. The room comes with a small fridge and a wall hair dryer that
actually works quite well. The buffet was not good. The coffee shop called Snaps
was okay but the service was slow. The Mexican food was alright. The Deli in the
back of the casino is actually better but they mostly serve hot and cold
sandwich. I will definitely go back to this hotel. I hope nobody trashes this
hotel.

Newer property than others off strip.
Very nice newish room, but a little worn around the edges. Clean and comfortable
w/flat screen TV (and lots of channels for a change), large split bath area with
deep soaking tub, floor to ceiling windows, refrigerator, but the bed was a bit
soft and there is no safe.
Elevator is room key activated for security, small but functional pool area
(think Holiday Inn), cheap eats and drinks at the pool ($2-6 drinks and beer and
$5 burgers, etc).
Several reasonably priced restaurants and a very good steakhouse
Gambling has all the options, but was tight as a drum. No winning here for us.
Lots of good specials throughout.
Main negative is the location. Wouldn't stay here without a car though as it
doesn't have a free shuttle (like Sams Town down the street).

Our visit to Las Vegas was for a basketball tournament that my granddaughter was
participating in. Since money was tight we found a great bargain at Eastside
Cannery. We didn't really expect much for the price but were pleasantly
surprised. The hotel is fairly new and was very nicely decorated, the beds were
very clean and comfortable. The view from our seventh floor window was
fantastic.. The pool area was really nice with little cabanas. The staff were
extremely friendly and helpful. The only things I didn't care for was the casino
smoke, just passing through but I guess that's to be expected and the lighting
in the bathroom a little too dim for my liking. It is about 15 minutes from the
strip. I will stay there again when I go back to Las Vegas. Thank you Eastside
Cannery for three lovely days.
Room Tip: room 718 has a great view especially at night. |
