We have visited Las Vegas 3 times since 1994 the latest time September 2011. Was
disappointed with the Luxor having seen it in its better days. The shops charge
3 times more for water and crisps than shops on the strip. Saw the same tray
left out for room service to collect for 3 days running. The rooms were clean
and comfortable, but carpets showing age. The outside temperature, for the 6
days we were there, was over 100 degreesF
and there was very little shade available at the pool area. All the staff were
very helpful. The hotel buffet was of poor quality and overpriced. Would not
choose the Luxor again, as there are some fabulous new hotels on the strip.

We stayed in the Luxor Casino in Vegas, we had the best time, we upgraded as
soon as we got there, this was easy and not that expensive, the food, the clubs
and casino were excellent and we had a very good stay, they are very security
concious also which was good

We had a brief stop over in Las Vegas staying at the Luxor, we stayed in the
tower. We found the hotel to be clean, staff extremely friendly. The room was
clean and well kept. The beds were comfortable, nice and soft which you dont
always find in hotels. The bathroom had a shower and a separate bath which is
great when you have kids. We had the buffet breakfast one morning and the food
was beautiful and the staff were just fantastic. So nice to go to place were
they will actually have a conversation with you. We didnt spend a lot of time in
the room but enjoyed the fact that you could connect to the Excalibur, monorail
you could catch at neighbouring hotels. We enjoyed our stay, the only down fall
we found was we got a taxi to the hotel and when we left we were catching a
shuttle bus to the airport. We went out to where we had caught other shuttle
buses taking us on trips. But that was not where we you hop on the shuttles for
the airport and we missed our pre booked bus. I feel that the signage around the
hotel isn't good enough. We didnt know that there were two entrances to the
hotel and if it wasn't for staff giving us directions we would have never been
able to find where to go as we had to ask another staff member along the way.
That was the only hiccup which is minor.

My husband and I and a couple of our friends just came back from Vegas this
week. We loved staying at the Luxor!! Yes, the check-in line was long when we
checked in on Friday night, but the line moved really fast. The check-in clerk
was really nice too! We stayed in a pyramid room on the 17th floor. The decor
was super cute! The four of us stayed together in the same room and we had
plenty of space. We had a cool view of Excalibur. The inclinators were a little
freaky at first, but you get used to them after a couple rides up and down. With
four people being in the room we always needed extra towels, washcloths, etc. We
actually called housekeeping every night for 8 nights to bring us extras and
they did not hesitate one time. They usually brought them up in ten minutes or
less. Also, we called for extra pillows on 2 different occasions and they
brought them up ASAP too!! It was really nice having a food court inside the
Luxor (Nathan's, McD's, etc.) It is currently under renovation, so not all the
restaurants are open, but is still a nice option for a quick and less expensive
snack. I highly recommend the chicken sandwich from Nathan's. Awesome!! We did
not try the buffet or Pyramid Cafe, but we highly, highly recommend T&T Tacos
and Tequila on the 2nd floor above the casino. GREAT Mexican food!!! Especially
the chicken fajitas!!! The casino is small in comparison to the other hotels,
but still serves its purpose. The Luxor is a little farther down the strip, but
you can easily walk to Mandalay Bay, Excalibur, New York New York, and even MGM.
Use the monorail. It's free. It goes back and forth between Mandalay Bay, Luxor,
and Excalibur. It will save your feet!!! The Deuce is also an option. $7 for a
24hr pass and there is a deuce stop directly across from the Luxor. We had an
awesome week in Vegas!!! This was our second time in Vegas and we will
definitely be back a third time!!! Thanks Luxor for an awesome week!!!!

The lobby & entrance are dramatic & very nice. Good price, however, Vegas hotels
get you with that excessive resort fee. They claim it's for the complimentary
newspaper and use of their gym, but if you opt not to have the paper or use the
gym, you still have to pay the fee
Room was nice, but here was a big gap between door and outside gaming area so
there was a bright light shining in our room all night. Plus, the rooms are
immediately next to the gaming area, so you hear all the loud music and partying
sounds all night long.

This was our first visit to the Luxor, and I was slightly apprehensive after
reading some reviews on here. The Luxor is stunning... absolutely top draw!! The
hotel itself is amazing... the staff couldn't do enough to help or direct us....
its a very big hotel and easy to get lost, which I did several times lol. Bars,
shops, restaurants, casino, shows galore all spot on. We saw the Titanic
exhibition which is amazing, The Menopause was so funny! Fantasy was full of
very good dancers and moving walkways between hotels makes moving from one to
the other so easy. We stayed in the Tower Luxury Suite which was absolutely
perfect in every way.... brilliant view over the strip, hot tub, shower, dining
table, wet bar fridge, lounge area and a bed so comfortable I wanted to take it
home. Cant speak highly enough of this awesome hotel. Definitely coming back
next year!!

I just stayed at the Luxor and I will not be returning. When I checked in, they
told me the only rooms they had left were on the 5th floor. I was fine with that
until later that night. My hotel room was backed up to the LAX nightclub that is
located right inside the Luxor. You hear the music like you are there in the
club. You can feel the base of the music as well. I had to put the TV on to help
drown out the music and which the TV didn't get turned off until after 4am when
the music was over with. As you can tell, no sleep was taken it. I will not be
coming back to this hotel again.

Time was nice, disappointed that the room was showing it's age. Water stains on
the ceiling. 4 star? I don't think so.
