I booked a deluxe Bellagio Lakeview suite as i figured that would give me great
Strip views. We arrived at 3pm on Saturday - 2 clerks working check-in and about
12 groups waiting to check in - we waited in line some 20 minutes (this is
especially annoying when on Sunday (early) and mon when there was no-one
checking in or out there were 5 clerks on duty!) - Anyway, i got the "good news
/ bad news" pitch. Bad news my Lake View suite wasn't ready, but they could
"upgrade" us to a (larger, apparently) corner suite with views of "the south of
the strip - Monte Carlo, Luxor, Mandalay Bay etc) - having been travelling for
over 10 hours we took the "upgrade" - THe view from our window were of the back
of these hotels and the Freeway (I 15) but we did have the mountain view on the
horizon.. As for the rest of the stay, not as plush as I was hoping for, fitness
centre very cramped and of course the inevitable "resort fee" of US$20 per day -
note that the Bally Group are advertising that they have stopped charging these.
Finally, the location of this Hotel makes it v difficult to walk in and out of -
if you try and turn up Harmon off the Strip you hit fences and have to walk back
to the strip, throught the Cosmopolitan Casino, out the back, crossing roads and
up stairs to get to the Vdara entrance. Staff were all v polite and service
good, but this gets 6/10 at best off me I am afraid.

Yes, the hotel is set back from the strip, but it's still on the strip. My
finacee upgraded us to a king suite, and it was so nice! There was even an all
in one washer and dryer, full kitchen, dining area, living room and 1 1/2 baths.
Everything is high tech and the beds are great! Room service was pretty timely
too. There is no casino, restaurants, or buffet...BUT there is NO SMOKING!

Vdara was a pleasant, comfortable clean hotel. However, we were charged us for
items not used. Even at check out, the hotel tried to charge us multiple times
for several items on the same day from the mini-bar. We told them the items that
were used, but later still received charges for items even though never used
them. For this reason, I strongly would not recommend this hotel.

I spent 4 nights in early January in a corner suite at Vdara. I chose this hotel
because I wanted a smoke-free, casino-free environment, yet one close enough to
the action when desired. Vdara delivered. (Put another way, the yahoo quotient
was low.) i had a great suite overlooking the Strip and the famous fountain at
Bellagio. The suite was so well maintained it looked as though it hadn't been
used. A short walk across the plaza takes you to Aria with its huge casino and
very good restaurants (Jean Georges and Sirio delivered also). Another short
walk down a corridor takes you to Bellagio. This will probably be my hotel of
choice when I visit Vegas in the future.

Very nice view of lake and Paris. Room was very nice, bed comfortable. Room
musty 1st night, fine after housekeeping. Had a promotion with $50 credit, used
some but rules were not clear, make sure they spell it out in writing so you get
the correct credits. All in all very nice, just disappointed that the credits
were not applied as was explained by front desk.

Just got back from this hotel. Positive report is the very large modern space.
Great bathroom with soaking tub. Two large flat screen televisions. Amazing view
from three big windows. Comfortable king size bed.

My husband and I just came back from a 4 night stay at the Vdara hotel and spa.
It exceeded our expectations! The location was excellent with access to the
Bellagio, the Aria, and the Cosmopolitan hotels.

Booked the hotel with a free buffet promotion, which was really a $40 dollar
buffet credit for breakfast and lunch only. That was a let down at check in. The
front desk staffer told me that Aria was the best

We stayed in a 2 story, 2 bedroom penthouse, for a really low price. Room was
super. I've stayed in regular rooms before. They were also very nice. Clean,
modern, great TV's, quiet, no smoke

While the room we had was very nice, there is little to offer the guest. The
only eatery in the hotel closes at 8PM on weeknights, and it has the only shop
in the hotel in it too. If you want coffee after then, then you have to order
from

I stayed at this hotel with my husband last month during the week. It's a very
nice hotel. I liked that it's non-smoking and everything still looks very clean.
I like the location. It's very close to most things on the strip. |
