We drove into Las Vegas from Carson City and found Bally's easily, valet parking
was very efficient. Check in was not too long and the upgrade was good value,
the suite was huge with a sunken bath and his and hers wash basins. Only
complaint about the room was no tea/coffee making facilities. An issue with
housekeeping was resolved fairly quickly. Great location for first timers in
Vegas, lots to see and do nearby, we didn't need the car. Bus service up and
down the strip is cheap and frequent. Casino area has all you expect in Las
Vegas and the Jubilee show was excellent.

Stayed at Bally's from October 2 thru 5th. I have stayed here before several
times and have always had a good experience. The rooms are older, but clean and
bigger than most of the other strip hotel rooms. The staff is always friendly,
which makes the stay more pleasant. The casino is "tight", but that’s about par
for Las Vegas, after all they did not build those BIG hotels on winners. I did
manage to win $ 400.00 on a video poker machine the day I left which help cut my
losses. Another thing I like about Bally's is it seems to attract more people my
age (45) or older....not so many of the "kids" that just want to get drunk, loud
and make an butt of themselves. I would defiantly recommend Bally's if your
looking for a classic hotel that is comfortable and friendly. If you are looking
for top end luxury with snobby employees and guest...don’t stay here.

We booked a double room, we got a huge room with two queen beds. The room had a
very nice view. The hotel is a bit old, but the room and bathroom were clean and
the bed was comfortable.
You can use the self-parking for free. The location is just perfect, Paris is
just downstairs, Jubilee show is performed at Bally. For most of the attractions
you don't need to use the car. They don't have buffet, but you can use the one
at Paris.

My wife and I stayed at Bally's in February and had a great time. Even though it
was the same weekend as the Super Bowl, the staff were friendly and helpful with
no signs of stress or fraying.
The location is perfect: right in the middle of the strip where all the action
happens. The room was huge (North Tower) and had a nice, bright bathroom. There
was a flat screen TV, but I don't think we even turned it on the whole time we
were there.
The lobby was clean, check in was a breeze and there was access to several
restaurants right from the casino floor. A quick jaunt through the tunnel next
door to the Paris expands on the dining selection. Access to the strip is via
the moving walkway, which was under repair for part of our stay, so we had to
walk a ways, but that's to be expected anywhere in Vegas. There is a sandwich
shop right beside the elevators for the South Tower that makes one of the best
turkey clubs I have ever eaten. There's a coffee shop in the lobby that gets
pretty busy in the mornings, but gets the job done.
The only criticism I have of Bally's is that service on the casino floor leaves
a little to be desired. I played craps for about 45 minutes and not once did a
waitress come by. I ended up spending most of my time at other casinos.
I highly recommend signing up for the free Total Rewards program for anyone
staying here, or any Caesar's property, even if you barely gamble. The cards can
be used for discounts in some restaurants, and you get e-mail promotions that
can knock $$$ off the price.
In all, Bally's provided what we wanted: an affordable, clean and decent hotel
without the price of the higher end properties, but also without the grime of
some of the lower end properties.

After staying at places like the Venetian, Wynn, and Treasure Island and paying
$22.40 a night for resort fees, I decided to find a hotel without resort fees.
Thanks to trip advisor reviews, I decided to give Bally's a try. I was able to
save a ton of money by booking a room with a free upgrade to the North Tower.
The location of the hotel was very centralized and convenient. Room was very
spacious, clean, came with hair dryer and coffee maker. The check -in line was
extremely long due to conventions in town, but move along quite fast. I found
the front desk staff to be very efficient and professional. The housekeeping
staff was friendly and did a wonderful job cleaning my room during my four night
stay. So, with the money I saved on the resort fees, I was able to give the
housekeeper staff a more generous tip. |
