Suite was great with beautiful finishes– full kitchen with absolutely nothing in
it so I fail to understand why it even exists. It had the full deal – sink,
microwave, cooktop, oven, dishwasher & full sized refrigerator. We were warned
at check in that if you so much as touched anything in the minibar you would get
charged. And indeed when I opened the refrig door some of the bottles in the
door fell over & we got charged. Pain in the fanny to get it corrected. It as a
full sized frig so we did have room to put some of own stuff. There is no coffee
pot in the room so I had to go to either the Vesper Bar (off the lobby) or Va
Bene (2nd floor right off the West Tower elevators) for coffee. The living room
was very comfortable, bed was fabulous, and we had 2 full baths both with
awesome showers. There was a deep tub in the master bath & both bathrooms were
large. A negative about the room is that there is no dresser in the bedroom –
the only place to put your clothes was in the closet. They have a useless small
desk where a dresser should be. And since we were there for 6 nights it was a
pain. The room was very high tech – lights, TV, climate control, hotel info was
all controlled by the remote control. Had to use trial and error to figure out
how to use all the features. If you were not comfortable with high tech then you
would be at a loss – I had to walk my husband thru some of the features. The
remote worked great in the bedroom but only worked from 1 spot in the living
room – a total pain. Water in the shower was not overly hot – so I didn’t use
the tub cuz it would have been lukewarm by the time it filled. Room was very
quiet – we heard nothing and we did have noisy neighbors on 1 side but the
minute you left the hallway you lost the noise.

Much has been written about the housekeeping. We got daily service by 4 but I
must admit they did not vacuum the rug – crumbs form the morning pastries were
on the floor for 3 days. Otherwise no complaints. Beck & Call – is their version
of helpful information with a human touch that you access via the phone. They
did lose credibility about how helpful they could be when they couldn’t tell me
how to leave the hotel to go to the Bellagio.

We ate at a couple of the restaurants on site – Holsteins & Henry’s, both of
which I’ll review in the restaurant section. Suffice to say we were happy with
both of them. We didn’t do much gaming here, the floor was small in comparison
to the other casinos on the Strip and wasn’t very high energy. I did win big at
video poker however, the one time I played it. There is a sundry shop right off
the lobby. If you take the walkway over to the Miracle Mile shops across the
street, there is an ABC store & the prices for soda etc is way less. The 2nd
floor has the shops & a couple of restaurants and the 3rd floor is primarily
restaurants.
Checkout was pain free. I used the electronic check out & then realized I need a
copy of my invoice. I called Beck & Call & they emailed it to me right away.
We enjoyed our stay – it is not a 5 star hotel by any stretch of the
imagination. I would return but would be just as likely to try out another hotel
we haven’t stayed at before.

Myself and the missus stayed here for 6 nights back in September and the hotel
is truly wonderful. We got a Bellagio fountain view and trust me this is well
worth it. Everything in the hotel ran smoothly, the maid service was excellent
and always left us with adequate towels and amenities. We ate at the wicked
spoon everyday for breakfast as it came comped with our stay, needless to say
after a couple of days you just have coffee and a muffin. I would highly
recommend this hotel as its central location and gorgeous décor makes it young
and funky. Looking forward to my next trip to this hotel |
