My husband and I stayed at the Hard Rock in Vegas this past Friday because we
saw Duran Duran play at the Joint in the Hard Rock.
The Hard Rock is 'fun'. It lives up to its name. "Sex, drugs and Rock n' Roll"
If you are looking for a quiet, laid-back experience in Las Vegas then this is
NOT the hotel for you.
I've stayed in a suite in the newer Hard Rock Hotel in San Diego and it was FAR
superior but I'm not sure if that's because it was a suite or not.
That said, I used a promotional code for our standard room which was nice and I
had no problems with that. The people at the front desk were pleasant, fast and
helpful. The room was clean and pretty much looked like it does on the website
photos. The bed was comfortable and there were FOUR feather pillows which I
loved because I love lots of pillows.
It was not overly loud where we were but we did hear the occasional partiers as
they walked down the halls to their own rooms. A few doors down there was a
party ala "The Hangover" going on in some sort of suite but we couldn't hear
them from our room - we only heard them we when walked by their door.
The bathroom was typical hotel faire. Not spectacular but not bad at all. The
bathtub was comfy enough to soak in for a while.
We were there on a Friday night. The center bar downstairs was too packed to get
a seat but there were a few other bars in the casino to visit. Waitresses were
NOT fast to bring you drinks at the slots. It was really busy and there were
tons of people but casinos should probably account for that when staffing on a
Friday or Saturday night.
We ate at the cafe in the main part of the hotel at about midnight. It was
packed and they told us it would be 25 minutes for our food but it was much
faster than that. The waiter was super great and even showed us pictures of
dishes on his phone before we ordered to help us decide. Food was inexpensive
and good 'drunk food'.
I usually take pictures where ever I go but I guess I was too caught up and in
"concert mode" to bother. Or... that the room and hotel were nice enough but
didn't "WOW" me.
Side note: I don't like the new Joint. The last time I was at the Joint was in
2005 and it was smaller and much more intimate then. The new location and layout
is much bigger which is probably great for the Hard Rock but it's much less fun,
in my opinion. There are several sections of General Admission and the balcony
seats are so far back I don't know how anyone can see anything.

First off I am 39 and travel a lot and this place is geared for the younger
crowd. I still enjoyed my stay for the most part. Price was decent the fees are
stupid, food was amazing. I skipped the pool scenery but if you are young and
single I am sure it would be amazing yet expensive. Johnny Smalls and the Pink
Taco have amazing food. My bed was the best I have ever slept in, the room was
clean and the non-smoking was truly non-smoking. If your on a budget this place
is pricey. I go to Vegas frequently and will not return. To many other places to
check out that are my speed.

My husband and I stayed in the Paradise Tower (which is conveniently located to
the parking garage). The room was nice and clean -- bathroom could have been
situated a little differently, but it was usable for 2 people. The resort fee is
about $20 which is ridiculous especially since you really can't use the pool
during the winter...but since I got such an awesome discount on the room, I
factored in that price and it was still better than staying on the strip. Since
it was only winter, the hotel wasn't busy so check-in and restaurants were easy
to get in and out of. I would definitely not stay here if I didn't have a car or
bring my children --- the hotel caters to 20 - 40 year olds.

Truly enjoyed stay! Stayed in the Casino Tower and the rooms were awesome! Beds
were very comfortable with nice beddings. Hug tub and large shower heads make
for a nice stay =) Lots of stand up mirrors and closet space. Only one draw
back, no refers in the room. Other than that it was a awesome!!

Really enjoyed staying here. We've stayed at the Venetian and MGM Grand before
so wanted to try something different. We stayed in the HRH Towers in a corner
suite. It was well worth paying extra, the views were great and both the room
and bathroom was large. Two televisions and and a trendy dukebox!! The only
downside to this hotel is that it is about 15/20 minutes walk to the main strip,
however we got cabs most of the time as we had planned our ideal itinerary in
advance, therefore it didn't make much of a difference. Typically Vegas! Loved
it!!

This is a great party hotel but the focus on the customer experience is less
than remarkable. We had a complaint and when we pointed out to the manager we
had a comped room at the Rio we could go to if they could not resolve the issue,
the front desk manager said she would be happy to cancel the balance of our
reservation. Interesting approach and we did ultimately go to the Rio and it was
way better.

The room was gorgeous and the beds were unbelievably comfortable. The hotel's
music-themed decor was cute as well. Had a fun time and the cocktail waitresses
were friendly. I would definitely consider Hard Rock Hotel again when I return
to Vegas!
