It was a very comfortable visit to the Orleans. The vibe was good in the casino and there are lots of options for dining. The free guest shuttle to and from the strip was very convenient. I will definitely stay here again.

My friends and family have been staying at the Orleans for years. I really enjoy the slot tournaments and have met some very nice people. The rooms are nice and spacious and the staff has always been very nice. It is so easy to take the shuttle if I want to go to the strip, but we usually stay around the hotel because there is so much to do - the bowling alley and the movies all there. I have always felt quite safe staying at the Orleans and would recommend to my friends. Love it!

We stayed at the Orleans Hotel for the 2011 Olympia as it was the host hotel. It was just my spouse and I . I called about a week ahead to request a King size bed with a Strip view and a fridge. They were all out of fridges when we got there Thursday but I kind of expected they might be as many of the competitors were staying at the hotel and had checked in the day before. (A fridge did appear in our room late Saturday and we were not charged for it). The hotel is easy to get to from the airport and the Strip. The Valets are quick and friendly but the self parking is easy to get in and out of as well.
Room:
The room was large and clean. As others have mentioned, the hallways are long and it can feel like you are walking forever to get to your room. While to hotel does have an older feel to it, it is charming, like you are in New Orleans. The couch in the room has seen better days but we just used it for suitcases anyway. The bed was very comfortable and they were quick to bring us more pillows and blankets when we asked.
Hotel amenities:
There are lots of options for dining. We ate at Fuddruckers, Sbarro (very good Stromboli!), TGI Fridays and the French Market Buffet a couple of times Breakfast and the Friday seafood buffet). All were good, with friendly, helpful servers. The seafood buffet had lots of king and snow crab that were both replenished frequently.
The wireless internet at the coffee shop extends out a far way so it can be used not just in the coffee shop. When searching for a network, use the Seattle’s Best one.
Check in and out both were simple with no unexpected charges.
We do like staying on the Strip when we go to Vegas but if we were going for a function that was being held at the Orleans Arena, we would for sure stay at this hotel again.

I loved it here! Rooms were big, bathroom was awesome and roomy. Took two teens and they loved the pool, and the movies! Food choices were good. Best part was that we won money!

We stayed just one night here on our way out of Vegas after a lengthy trip to canyons around the region. Found a killer deal online on their site the day before - only $34 a night for a king room. It was crazy-spacious, with sitting area totally separate, terrific bed, with windows showcasing the strip (not that far away). Very quiet. My spouse was intrigued by the window in the shower that actually opened. Entire floors are non-smoking rooms. Staff were very nice and helpful as well. A security team in front of room elevators at casino gives a measure of security, at least lip-service to it. But the walk from the elevators to your room is longer than a football field - that's after walking from the self-park garage through the courtyard and then through the casino, another two field's length. (Moral of story: wear very comfy shoes and definitely have the bellman attend to your luggage). And it looks like a scene from The Shining - extremely long very bright hallways going four directions off the elevator (Don't forget your room number!) Close to the airport, we were there in record time the next morning. Cafe is good - with lots of offerings and it serves late. Coffee stand near the front door has good java. The Mardi Gras themed huge casino seems to be a locals favorite. Would definitely go back, but would ask for a room near the elevators.
