Palazzo Hotel Las Vegas Reviews
10 October 2011
The casino was pretty good - I played quite a few slots as well as some
roulette. It was smoky but not any more than any of the other casinos, and it
was as bright as a large room underground can realistically be.
I had a massage and checked out the spa facilities one day. They were 'ok'. My
massage was also 'ok'. The halls between the treatment rooms and the common
areas are pretty bad - dimly lit, in dark carpet and walls (it could have been a
hospital, very sterile). The 'salt grotto' is a nice attempt, but it reminds me
of one of those stretch limos with the starry lights on the ceiling that switch
colours. Really dated. The whirlpool has a few 'dark' areas in it that I'm
concerned about in terms of mildew, and the chlorine smell from it stuck to me
for a couple of days, despite trying to scrub it off in numerous showers. The
sauna is similar to the grotto - changing lights, mosaic tiles that are dated in
terms of colours with patches of them that have seen better days. I called the
Encore the next morning and headed over there for another massage and spa
experience - it was like night and day, absolutely no comparison.
Overall - the Palazzo (and by extension the Venetian) were nice. However, the
whole complex was a bit too big for my liking, the spa was disappointing, and it
was a bit over the top in terms of crazy decor when it should have been over the
top in a classic kind of way. I don't know how to explain it, but I guess that I
expected more given the level of effort that has gone into this place in terms
of making this place distinctive and a destination in its own right. I have
stayed at the Encore and I found myself comparing the Palazzo/Venetian to the
Wynn/Encore throughout my stay and found that the Wynn/Encore came out on top in
pretty much every aspect. They can be similar in price (depending on what you
book) so given that they are right next to each other, I would go next door the
next time I'm there.

My partner and I stayed at the Palazzo for 2 nights and LOVED it. The suites are
huge, location is amazing and the staff were very courteous and helpful. I can't
fault a single thing from our stay. We saw 2 shows (Blue Man Group and Phantom)
and both were incredible. If you join the Gratzie club (for free) you get a 2
for 1 voucher to see Blue Man Group and this saved us $100 which was great too!
Can't wait to go back!

What can I say? This place was amazing. I felt like a star walking into this
upscale resort. Check-in was a breeze and our room was absolutely beautiful.
Everything you could need was within reach. Just remember to bring good walking
shoes. We saved some money by visiting the Walgreens which was conveniently
located on the lower level of the hotel for snacks and drinks. The pools were
spread throughout and so relaxing. This hotel seemed to be filled with post
college adults and above which was a plus compared to the Venetian which seemed
to have more of a party atmosphere. Some hotels in Vegas tend to have a smokey
smog in the casinos but the Palazzo was extremely clear. I would go back to the
Palazzo in a heartbeat!!

Have stayed at Bellagio, Wynn and Aria and this was my first stay at Palazzo. I
was very impressed with the hotel, staff and amenities. I would have to say this
hotel is in the top two or three of the hotels I would frequent now in Las
Vegas. Great rooms!

I stayed here with 8 friends for a hen party, we had adjoining rooms as
requested which was fab as we kept the doors open and it was like we had a super
big suite. The rooms were very large and modern and very clean.
There is nothing I could fault with this hotel, the rooms the service and the
pool areas.
Would most certainly go back and stay here!
