Just wanted to add to the other good reviews - Suncoast is a very nice hotel
located in Northern Las Vegas. Since we needed to be near my ailing aunt we
chose it for the good reviews posted and the reasonable price. We booked a
"regular" room and it was very

My wife and I attended an event at this hotel and decided to stay the night. As
this hotel is about 10 miles from the strip in Vegas, we weren't expecting
anything special. We were pleasantly surprised, the room was spacious and clean

Only 10 minutes from the Las Vegas Strip (to the West), in the beautiful new
"planned" town of Summerlin, Nevada, sits a wonderful resort property, the
Suncoast Hotel and Casino. The "regular rooms" are more than 400 square feet

My husband was there for a seminar in November/2011 for 6 nights so I went along
with him. The hotel is great nice and clean and not to far from the strip about
20 min ride so a car rental is best.

We have stayed at the Suncoast about eight times in the past five years while
visiting relatives in Summerlin area. When we started staying there the rooms
were $39 & $49 depending on whether you overlook the casino roof and a view of
downtown or overlook the neighbouring golf course and the mountains and the J. W.
Marriott resort. Depending on the day and time of year the prices are still
about the same with regular specials. They do add on a $5 "resort fee" for local
calls, newspaper at the door etc. but you can decline it if you choose.
The buffet breakfast has everything from soup to nuts including pickled herring
and ice cream for $8.99 unless you sign up for the casino players card (no
charge) then it is $6.99. They have several eating spots for everyone's style or
taste. We ate at the steak house this time and the food was very good however
the portion size was way more than needed. The 10 ounce prime rib cut was more
like 16-18 ounces and the mashed spuds came in their own bowl of about 3 cups.
Enough for about 2-3 people but each of us got one.
The rooms are spacious, I would guess about 300 sq ft, and clean. The bath is
large and well lit with a two sink vanity. They have smoking and non smoking
floors with the usual ice and vending by the elevators. They also have some
suites but we have never stayed in them. A lot of the pictures that have been
posted to give you a good idea of what to expect. |
