Guest Reviews Bellagio Hotel Las Vegas
6 December 2011
I stayed at the Bellagio with friends for the Rock and Roll Las Vegas Marathon
in December 2011, and was totally disappointed by what I expected to be a
high-class experience. We weren't in Vegas to gamble, but we did want to eat and
drink well and have a good time, and we came up dry on every front within...

I write A LOT on this website and if you look at my other reviews, you will know
I am being fair and accurate with this posting. I have stayed at many hotels in
Vegas and many Leading Hotels of the World

The Bellagio is a very impressive hotel. We expected it to be slightly stuffy
and with nearly 2000 rooms for the service to be lacklustre and impersonal. Not
one bit. The overall service was probably the best we've had, particularly for
such a large hotel. We also thought it was pretty cool.
Room service was awesome, nothing was too much trouble from breakfast to a
request for safety pins!, we were given a great room overlooking the fountains
and the strip. The room was great and for once we didn't hear anything from the
rooms surrounding us.
We were also really impressed with the pool area, which was larger and less
crowded than we expected, with really good service here too.
We wouldn't stay anywhere else in Vegas.

Have always stayed at the Signature (MGM) in the past but wanted to try
somewhere more central to the strip. Stayed 2 nights and had a room with a
fantastic fountains/strip view from the 18th floor. The room was of a good size
of the kind of standard you'd expect from a higher-end Vegas strip hotel. Had
meals in the cafe, buffet and Jasmine (Chinese), all of which were of a good
standard, but our best meal was at Prime (steakhouse). Expensive, but one of the
best steaks I've eaten and we had a direct view of the fountains with first
class service.
Not a cheap hotel by any means, particularly with the resort fee, but you have
to stay at least once.

I have stayed at the Bellagio four times in the last three years and always
enjoyed it however this time they have introduced a resort fee charged each
night on top of the room charge. This is for things like using the pool that
quite frankly you get at other Hotels included in the room charge. This is just
another way of bumping up the room charge without showing it upfront |
