I stayed in the older part of the hotel. The hotel was very empty compared to
the other hotels, which i called that were booked. I checked in at the front
desk and the girl was rather unfriendly. They CHARGE AN EXTRA 20$ for pool
access which was not disclosed when I booked the room. The room was dingy not
anything spectacular. It seemed old and not renovated. Overall i wouldn't
recommend staying here, unless you are in your early 20's and there to party
hard.

$125 a night for a suite with 2 queen beds and view over the pools....that is
the best value hotel room for sure. Loved the feel of the hotel, casino and the
staff were great...pity the only decent places to get food were the expensive
restaurants and they were only open for a few days week, the other choice was
typical American rubbish food.....this was the only draw back. The location is
ok-ish....off the strip but only a short cab ride. This was my first time to
Vegas and OMG what a crazy place.

I stayed at the Paradise tower, nice but nothing out of this world. Very good
pools though.
The location is awful, far from the Strip. Like someone mentioned before is not
as clean as you expect, and the worst thing is: Customer service is very poor!
The girl at the Registration when I checked out was rude and VERY slow, she had
someone before me to check in and looked like she had no idea what she was
doing. I was there for nearly 20 minutes just to return my key, I missed my pick
up to the airport and had to reschedule again.
Also, I asked front desk for new glasses for my room, and it took them nearly an
hour and a half to get them there, I had to go to the pharmacy nearby to get
cups myself.
The Casino is small and not very inviting.
Not really worth it.
They should be really paying attention to the attitude of their employees. I've
already seen several comments about their lack of skills to provide a good
customer service.

Different hotels in Vegas have different niches. You go to the Palms if you want
to party. You go to Circus Circus if you have kids. You go to Caesars Palace if
you want to try and emulate The Hangover. You go to Hooters if you have no other
choice. You go to the Hard Rock, for the sprawling pool and beach complex that
stretches nearly the entire length of the property. Most of the hotel's rooms
overlook one of the pool areas, so they know what the deal is. There's a lazy
river, artificial beach, swim-up blackjack, and seemingly countless cabanas. Go
during a weekday and tip the right person $20 and you can get wrangled into one
of them, but there's plenty of places to sit. Drink service is great, too.
The rest of the hotel is OK. There are three towers, with the Casino tower being
the oldest. The HRH Suite tower is, as you might expect, a tower of suites. I
stayed in the Paradise Tower, which is relatively new and felt like an
above-average Vegas room. The only problem was that it's a pretty lengthy walk
from the main entrance to the Paradise Tower -- about 5-7 minutes any time you
want to go to your room. Beyond the pool, this really isn't a very big casino --
the main pit is one of the tiniest you'll see in Vegas, and even the secondary
slots area by the HRH tower isn't all that big. The casino itself has just one
cashier cage, totally not visible from the main pit, and they stick a dumb name
on it ("The Bank", also the name of a Bellagio club) to make it even more
obnoxious to deal with. Service wasn't all that great. Girl at registration
began processing my checkin before looking at the clock and realizing that she
"had to leave", sending me back into line. I came up to my room while
housekeeping was cleaning it and the woman was happy to let me into the room to
grab things without asking for any proof that I was actually the person who was
staying in the room. Room service at 2 AM answered the phone by saying it was in
excess of an hour wait and that I should probably just go to the (admittedly
very good) coffee shop.
The other problem here is that this hotel is not on the strip. It has some
advantages as a result -- you're a block away from a big 24-hour CVS, and the
cab to the airport is among the cheapest in the city -- but you've just about
gotta take a cab if you want to go anywhere on the strip, and you're not going
to want to take multiple cabs to and from this place a day. If you're looking
for a place with a great pool, this (or Mandalay) is where you want to be. If
the pool really isn't of any consequence to you, you're probably better off
going somewhere on the strip.

If you want to come and party this is a great place to be. As we visited for my
birthday we paid extra for a deluxe suite. This was in the old part of the hotel
with a view of the pool. We arrived on Sunday with pumping music for the rehab
party. If this is not your scene then avoid!
The room was a good size. Sheets were clean, but the room could have been
cleaner - but nothing gross.
No tea and coffee facilities and despite the room having a wet bar it didn't
have anything more than the standard 2 glasses.
It's cool to have the rock memorabilia about the place. The casino is small but
plays rock music which is cool.
Yes there are resort fees, we knew about this before we arrived, but not really
justified in my opinion for anywhere in Vegas.
If you are young and want to party then this is a cool place to be. If you come
for the rock chique you might be a bit disappointed and better staying on the
strip.

Do not stay here! The hotel was so raunchy and dirty. Definitely not what was
expected. This place of business neglects the rooms they rent out and they are
not worth a fraction of what they rent them for. A complete waste of money!
Front desk has no customer service skills and refuses to accept any
responsibility for their badly maintained rooms and property. The ugliest hotel
I have ever been in.

This was my second trip to Vegas and I had visited this hotel the first time for
a concert. I have to say I was disappointed. When we arrived to check in, we
were charged resort fees, which I did not see when reviewing the hotel policies
(nor was it in the small print). Then we were given a dirty room. The covers on
the bed had a huge brown spot, empty starbucks cups on the bedside table and
missing candy bars from the sensors (which I'm sure they would have charged us
for if we didn't say anything). We went down to the desk to ask for a new room
and we were ignored for half an hour then managed to get the same girl, who
helped us initially. Her attitude was so poor and snarky, and in the hotel
industry I would have hoped for better service. Location wasn't that great,
takes about 20 minutes to walk down to the strip. However the restaurants and
casino were great. Cool displays. I wouldn't recommend this hotel for service or
cleanliness for the price we paid.

I just stayed in May 2011, I woke up the 2nd day with bites all over my legs.
The 4th day, had bites all over my neck. I stayed in the Paradise Tower. I only
know these are bed bug bites because I was attacked years ago in New York. These
things are blood suckers and extremely hard to get rid of now that DDT is
banned. They are an epidemic all over the country now and if you bring them home
it will cost you thousands of dollars to get rid of, not to mention your sanity!
and will turn your life upside down trying to get rid of them. You may never
even see one, but they feed on you about every week. They are disgusting and
creepy. DON'T STAY AT HARD ROCK HOTEL VEGAS!!! BTW, they just deny that they
even have a problem with them. |
