On arrival didn't really know where to go we were pointed in the right direction by a member of staff got to reception this is were it started to go wrong we had to wait for a longtime before we were seen too once this was done we had to go from one end of the hotel to the other to the west wing to our room wow did we get a surprise great views of the other parts of the hotel and the hotel roof room was dated and very old bathroom was ok not vert clean in the shower cubicle. No coffee making facilities and no wifi. Beds were ok bedding not very nice felt cheap and old.
Swimming pool was ok not very clean but ok, if your a sun worshiper your ok as there are no parasols provide if you want shade it costs you $ 50 to use the private pool area, casino was ok had a great meal in tender steak and good service too.
Would I go back to the Luxor yes if it has a major refurb no if it does not have one

Stayed here with my mother this June for the first time ever. We booked a 'pyramid spa suite' hoping to get some luxury, and, well...we got anything but. We stayed on the 5th floor of the pyramid, and were sad to see the ceiling paper peeling off, stains on the rug, exposed wires coming from a light fixture, mold on the walls (a serious health issue for people with allergies like us), and on the final night of our trip...a roach running across the bathroom floor. (I have posted pics of the above mentioned issues...see for yourself). My mom had to spray the roach with wrinkle release spray before crushing it with a chair leg. This was gross! TOTALLY NASTY!!! Needless to say, we were really saddened. We hoped the bad reviews here were wrong...but now we know why people wrote what they did...they were telling the TRUTH. Also, the 15 dollar a day resort fee covers the TV, phone calls (local) and the gym usage. You can pick up a paper in the lobby with room key. This seemed outrageous to me--for 15 bucks a day. Also, the casino staff was rude, with one of them calling me cheap one night as I bet on roulette!!! The spa tub in the room we booked worked well, and the on-site spa was clean and nice (we went with a Groupon). The staff of the spa and salon was wonderful and this was a trip highlight. The breakfast buffett was also good (when the staff refilled the items....some days they seemed understaffed and the service suffered).

All in all, this hotel has seen better days and the Pyramid needs to be fixed up. I think the hotel knows this, as during our stay, half of the floor was off limits and under construction. This was a lovely view, with great noise, and seemed really safe...especially the one day the construction site door was ajar with no workers present....BEWARE IF YOU HATE BUGS OR CANNOT STAND MOLD EXPOSURE

Our advice would be to stay somewhere nicer. This place was really a let-down for my family. I think almost anywhere else would have been better.

I stayed at the Luxor hotel from May 29-June 1st for the holiday. I read the reviews and figured it couldn't be THAT bad......YES IT IS!! My very first visit to Vegas was shattered by this smoke filled warehouse!! My room was on the 17th fr-The Towers-think spring break gone wild! the room was so dark I wanted to purchase light bulbs or a flashlight. The chairs in the room were soiled visibly-The furniture was chipped-peeling- The carpet was beyond fading and frayed throughout. There is no central ac-the little radiator box portable ac in the corner- I will NEVER stay at the Luxor hotel again! Maybe if they tear it down and build a new one in it's place. Trip Advisor has been very useful when planning my trips-maybe next time I will heed the warnings from other posts-to their credit-the bathroom wasn't bad-the shower had nice marble-hot water-good water pressure-my next trip to Vegas will be a 5star hotel-the buffet was mediocre at best-we only ate there 1 night -front desk seemed a bit frazzled during check in-large crowds should be the norm here one would think?

The staff were friendly. The rooms were very clean and updated. The food throughout the whole hotel whether it was fast food or upscale restaurant all was amazing. Price was great. Hotel price was amazing $45 a night. The exterior and interior of hotel was very tidy and clean. The pool was awesome, clean and great poolside service. Definitely going back.

Criss Angel...paid way too much for tickets even though got 5th row at half price. It was a real let down. He did nothing that was mind blowing. Thank goodness for his "Believe Sidekicks" otherwise I thought the show was a bust. Went to the late showing and the people coming out were not talking about his performance. Not once did we hear "Wow" that was the most awesome show!! We noticed it and wondered why people were not talking about how great it was...okay now we know. He is way better on TV.
