First impression when walking in to the Monte Carlo is the lobby is beautiful
and well maintained. I arrived in the morning so there were was no queue of
people waiting to be tended to. I checked in right away and was promptly given a
room.
If you are an older person please consider staying elsewhere and save yourself
the trouble. It is an ok place to visit during the daytime. All I have to say is
that you get what you pay for in Vegas. I didn't pay a whole lot for this (work
trip) but I do believe I got what my work paid for. Next time I will stay at
Mirage or Bellagio...at least if I can help it. As my rating suggests, this is a
very average hotel.
One thing I do recommend is seeing Carrot Top....he was hilarious!

We love the location of the Monte Carlo. It is right on the strip so that it is
convenient to get to any casino. There is a free tram that makes several stops
between the Monte Carlo and the Bellagio.
Check-in and check-out can be time consuming if you get a large number of people
arriving/leaving at the same time. We got lucky and didn't have to wait. Half an
hour after we checked in, a tour bus was checking in. We check out quickly by
phone in the room by dialling "3" and following the prompts.
The fitness room is complementary and located on the 2nd floor. They have many
treadmills, elliptical machines, and bikes. They also have many weight machines
and free weights.

First trip to Las Vegas and stayed at the Monte Carlo hotel , I thought it was a
really good choice for where it was on the strip, pretty central and I loved the
size as it had everything that we needed but was not to big that you got lost in
it. We ate in the hotel a few times, went to the cafe for breakfast, had a snack
at Manchu wok , the pub and Diablo's which we all enjoyed, good food and great
service. We went to Dragon noodle one night for a meal and would not rate it at
all but that was the only disappointment of the whole week. Loved the casino,
was not there to win my fortune just had a wee gamble for fun and had a great
time. The pool area was great but people could possibly find the music a bit
loud. A good tram service at the back of the street of dreams taking you down to
the Bellagio hotel which I must add was beautiful but a bit on the big side for
me. We asked for a smoking room and obviously smelt strongly of smoke when we
entered but an air freshener in the room did the trick, very comfy bed, plenty
room and good hairdryer and ironing facilities. It had all the requirements that
we needed a very good stay after a 10 hr flight and would stay here again

Went to a Medical/Legal conference for three nights and days. The conference
facility was more than adequate; despite an occasional video or audio blip, the
main room was very comfortable, clean and the room temperature was fine. I would
attend another conference there. However, the hotel itself is seriously in need
of a total rehab. The beds and bedding are great, but there are small rooms with
tiny bathrooms and everything smells like a smokestack. Although they had record
of my request for a king sized bed, there were not any available (even tho
colleagues without requests, who registered and checked in simultaneously, got
them). We had to hold our breaths to walk thru the casino, it smells so awful.
There is a $12.00 a day "resort fee". Supposedly this includes free parking (no
car), free Wi-fi (only if you have an Ethernet-based laptop, not an iPad or
Phone) free newspaper (on a rack, right in front of the broken elevator), and
free boarding pass printing ( unnecessary if you have a cell phone & go green!)
There was
always a broken elevator, and the carpeting throughout the whole hotel is too
filthy for a decent pair
of shoes to walk upon.

We stayed at Monte Carlo resorts. Its a 4 start rated resort. We were not
expecting luxury but this was not better than a motel.
- No ventilation in bathrooms , no exhaust so steam remains trapped in and so
does the oder.
- Hair dryer provided was broken, and I got a pretty strong electric shock due
to live wires exposed.
- Towels has a weird odor and didnt smell fresh.
- Bathroom plumbing was terrible and water was all blocked in the tub .
We complained about this multiple times but did not receive any service or room
change.
It spoiled my Vegas experience.
Only good thing is it's location and the fact that tram station is very
accessible. This was very helpful.

We enjoyed three nights at the Monte Carlo in June. We didnt have a reservation
on arrival but easily acquired a room, a pool view one at that! The rooms were
dated but spacious, and quiet. The King-sized bed was really comfortable too! We
found the location of the hotel central and were able to walk to most of the
main casinos, restaurants and bars. The hotel is beside the spectacular new
Cosmopolitan hotel, which is definitely worth a visit! Free parking was
available, although I'm not really sure whether or not this is standard for most
Vegas hotels. There is no access to free wifi, which was a major negative for
us.

I enjoyed my stay, hotel very clean and comfortable with excellent views of the
strip at night from my room. Staff all very friendly and nothing was too much
trouble for them. My only negative was being hit with an unexpected eighty
dollar fee upon arrival, but I assume this would apply to all hotels in Vegas.

We did read Trip Advisor before we booked this hotel and the Hotel ived up to
the reviews. We have to visit las vegas for business at the same time each year
and we usually stay where we are going to be relatively close to where the
convention is held. We changed hotels this year as previously other hotels have
been noisy and very busy. We found this hotel to be quieter and most
accommodating. It is not the flashest hotel on the Strip but it has everything
you need, clean and comfortable. We would stay again. |
