Riviera Hotel and Casino Reviews

We got it at a nice price and it served us very well for the few days we were there. Can't understand some reviewers saying it was far away. It's on the strip a bus , cab or walk away from anywhere you want to go unless your too lazy to move. Forget about the eating choices and get outside. Nice pool area and friendly staff. We have stayed at luxurious 5 star resorts around the world but for the price would have no complaints about The Riviera.

It's fine. Clean, convenient, good bar staff, friendly cleaners, quick waitresses and most of all, EXCELLENT value.
Not only that, but Mr Brent Tary, one of the casino managers upgraded our rooms for free and offered to address any of our concerns personally.
6 of us stayed there this year and for the price we paid I'll be returning again with a small army of friends.
Also - we played at the casino plenty and made the most of the free slot play. Not only that, but we got free buffets for racking up the loyalty points.
So, my advice is think about how much you pay and what you get for it. Want to live like royalty? Pay royalty prices.
I guarantee that you will not beat this hotel and casino for value.

I stayed at the Riviera last week. It was neither wonderful nor terrible. If you want a budget place to stay on the strip (although fairly away from the main part of the strip) this is about as good as it gets. It's either the Riviera or Circus Circus with all those kids. You decide.

I was able to check in early and my registration went smoothly. I opted for a $20 per night upgrade which put me into a room on the 18th floor of the Monaco tower, which is supposed to be the best. My room was fine with a south view of the back of the strip and mountains. I was surprised that the Monaco tower rooms are considered the best in the hotel because my room seemed fairly average and the bathroom was a bit shabby. But for about $70 a night with all the fees and taxes, it wasn't a bad deal.

Circus Circus and Slots of Fun are across the street. And there is a Walgreens and Ross for Less with walking distance. But if you decide to stay at the Riviera, be prepared to take the Deuce bus or drive to the more active part of the strip.

You can also walk through the Riviera's convention center to the monorail at the Hilton. There's an elevator to the parking garage that I walked through to avoid the sun. For $12 you can ride as much as you want for 24 hours and it's much more pleasant than trying to squeeze on the Deuce bus during busy times.

I ate at the Riv Buffet on my first night. I was starving so the food tasted just fine to me. There's a good selection of comfort foods and deserts.

So, if you can get a good deal the Monaco tower and realize that you're not staying at a four-star resort in the middle of the action, the Riviera is a perfectly serviceable place to stay.

I have stayed at the Riviera on every trip to Vegas over the last 15 years. It continues to update it's rooms and services. There are good places to eat and great shows on the property. The room rates are great! Although it is on the Strip, it is a considerable way from the main attractions. However, the bus and trolley both pick-up across the street and there are taxis in the parking garage entrance at all times. I always look forward to staying at the Riviera while in Vegas!

I have stayed at the Rivera for many years, I've wrote good reviews about the hotel well last weekend 9/17/11 for Mr. Olympia finals the hotel and service was awful.

When we 1st checked in they didn't have a non-smoking room as we had reserved we was informed its 1st come basis ...Can you believe that we never heard sucg a thing!!!

After speaking to some employees I was informed their under new management which would explain why they have taken out all the little shops and replaced with slot machines and poker tables.

When called for room service they were so rude we cancelled our order.. I had blood and food stains on my pillow cases.

Oh let's not forget they charge for everything internet, and anything other than local tv, OMG they have hidden charges also , so please if your considering staying there just know you have been warned...
