Sams Town Hotel and Casino Reviews

I had never been to Sam's Town, I've stayed at other coast properties, so I was
curious. The first thing that comes to mind is the staff, everyone here is very
friendly, from the front desk, the restaurants, room service and casino, I mean
every one, that's was a very positive start to my stay.
The first thing you notice is that there are many ( the vast majority) retired
people here, so you expect it to be a fairly relaxed and quiet place, I don't
know if it was because I was there on weekday, but it seemed quite tame, and I'm
not saying that in a bad way, If you want to have a good time, and relax at the
same time, this place is great. The atrium ( Mystic Falls), was very cool, with
benches and seats all over the place, you can relax, read a book, talk with your
significant other or just make new friends, the laser show is good. The room is
good, smaller than the rooms at The Orleans, but it was clean, quiet, no frills,
room.
I have a B Connected card, so I get some promos when I play the tables and slots.
I didn't play any table games this time, but I did hit the slots, and had fun.
The buffet, specially breakfast has a limited selection, it was ok.
The hotel is showing a bit of his age, but it's still a good place to relax. I
would recommend it!.

This was a family vacation to see Las Vegas for the first time ever. I used
third party booking and we got a real steal of a deal at Sam's Town for 4
nights. Since we were on a budget, we drove from our hometown in Northern
California so we were not worried about being off the strip. Our non smoking
room was spacious, light and clean and I assume this was true for all other
rooms as well since we had two queen beds-nothing fancy. Though there is a free
shuttle to the strip, the drop off and pick up location is on the opposite end
of where some of the more well known casinos are AND the last shuttle back to
Sam's Town is at 8:00 pm. We took the shuttle twice before we figured out that
it was easier to do what we wanted to do using our own car. But be aware that if
you stay here it's a good 15 minute ride to get to the strip and park. We used
the pool every day. It's nothing fancy but clean and well kept and they provide
beach towels at the pool free of charge. There are plenty of fast food options
at Sam's Town but even the McDonalds there was over priced. Save some money and
drive just two blocks to Denny's or a little farther for a "regular" McDonalds.
My one complaint would be that the laser light show or "Sunset Stampede" in the
atrium of the hotel was not working due to maintenance and our son was really
looking forward to it so he was very disappointed. I would go back again as it
was overall a good value for the money.

Don't understand why people love staying here. Maybe they don't travel much? or
simply never stay in a truly nice hotel? We stayed one night in what they call a
"Premier" room. Supposedly it's been refurbished. I think the only thing they
did was replaced the mattress and placed a flat screen TV. The carpet was
stained, the sofa was dirty, the room was dark and small. I cannot imagine what
their regular room looks like. Will not recommend it to anybody. It's cheap I
supposed for a Saturday night stay. We paid $118 (including tax). It's almost 6
miles away from the Strip. The casino itself was alright. Do not try the buffet.
It was super bad. You would be better off with Panda Express, TGIF, or even
McDonald. Oh the Subway place is pretty scary too. It's messy and dirty. I think
that's the worst Subway place I've seen. Normally they always look very clean.

I stayed at Sam's Town Las Vegas for 4 nights with my 13 year old son. We had
alot of fun! The hotel has an on-site multi-screen theatre and a 50-lane bowling
alley. The hotel was very clean and there was always bowling available. The
prices were very reasonable.
The staff was very friendly (except in the bowling alley where they're a bit
grumpy and disinterested).
There's a TGI Friday's, Dunkin' Donuts, Subway, McDonalds, Panda Express & a
pizza place on-site also. And a video arcade.
