Great place for a quick stay in an iconic hotel AND the price was right
($36/night). Hotel was a little dated but the room was comfy and we had a
stellar view of the strip. Room was nice and clean. i had no complaints for the
price.

The Stratosphere is a typical Vegas casino-hotel, where you have to walk through
the noise and flashing lights of the casino to get anywhere: your room, the
restaurants, even parking. If you're not there to

This was my fourth time in Las Vegas and the first time for my partner. Mostly
we had a wonderful holiday at the Stratosphere. We stayed for 7 nights.
Likes:-
Registration was easy and quick. Staff were welcoming and polite.
We upgraded to a suite which was both very spacious and good value. Comfortable
sofa, large Jacuzzi, and similarly large walk in shower.
Public transportation is excellent and frequent with good access up the Strip
and Downtown. The Deuce bus is slower than the SDX but the journey in both is
easy. We had fun spotting passengers who clearly had never been on a double
decker bus before and were also clearly anxious! We recommend English people to
sit upstairs for a real laugh.
Free access to the Tower was a real bonus.
The buffet has a good atmosphere and the food was excellent.
Gripes:-
There was some misunderstanding about the actual cost of the upgrade, which
grated, but the suite was still good value.
The plumbing in our suite, right behind the bed, was exceptionally noisy leading
us to change rooms.
A little more luxury in the suite would have been appropriate, eg bathrobes and
slippers.
Channels available on the TV were unusually limited for the USA.
The pool was one of the worst I have experienced; surfaced like a parking lot
and with inadequate decoration or little greenery to soften the place. Very few
parasols.
Dont spend a fortune on upscale hotels. Go to places like the Stratosphere and
upgrade.

Well, i've never stayed here before and was lured here by their great prices on
rooms. I see other reviews, and i won't discredit them, everyone has a different
experience right ? This hotel has been here forever however, the rooms were
fine, didn't show signs of wear and tear.
The room was just fine, had a clean and comfy bed, lots of pillows, flat screen
tv, the rest room was clean, everything worked fine and toiletries/ TP were
stocked well
- no in-room fridge/microwave/coffee maker , but includes an ice bucket and
disposable cups.
.
We did not get a strip view room but seeing as we only came to the room to sleep
and watch tv..etc, it was no big deal, just close the curtains.
We did not even smell smoke in our non-smoking room.
We did not hear the next door couple, um " doing it " .
Ice machines were near by and functioning.
Check-in was a breeze.
At this hotel , everything was close by, we liked that !

I have stayed and played at the Stratosphere many times and just recently
returned from another trip. I won't be going back. The rooms are now 3-4 years
old and showing their age. To get a renovated room it's another $15-20 per
night. The last times I have been at the Stratosphere, I was considered in the
highest level of VIP status in their rewards program. Despite my past spending
and status, I was told that because I had not been recently, that I no longer
had any member perks, rewards, or even a free buffet. It's the rewards program
that always took me back to the Stratosphere. With this expiration of member
benefits, I'd just as soon choose a nicer hotel located closer to the center of
the strip. To have been treated so personably before because of my VIP status,
and the money I"ve spent at this hotel and casino, I was really offended with
their 'you're a nobody now' attitude. |
