I visited the Suncoast Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas last weekend and was
pleasantly surprised. The rooms are clean and the rates are great!
I live in Las Vegas for my second home, and many times I bring friends to gamble
here in Las Vegas. They all can't stay at my home, so we usually look for a
local hotel and casino to stay at that is affordable.
The Suncoast had great restaurants, clean rooms and winning slot machines at a
low price.
The only drawback I had was that as a non-smoker, the casino needs better
ventilation. It was very smoky in the casino area.
Highly recommended!

I stayed at the Suncoast because I was attending a seminar there, so the hotel
was really chosen for me. The rates were very reasonable and I wasn't sure what
I'd get for the price, but I was pleasantly surprised. I stayed in a high
standard, very generously sized and attractive room. Accommodation at Suncoast
is exceptionally good value.
The smokiness of the casino has been mentioned in many other reviews, and it was
evident from my first moment at Suncoast, as the hotel reception desk is in the
casino area. I stayed on a non-smoking floor, so my room was always a haven of
smoke free air, but occasionally there was a smoky smell in the corridors of the
7th floor.
Service at the hotel's various restaurants was always great. I had room service
a couple of times, the menu choices were limited but adequate and service
friendly and efficient. After 11 days at the hotel, I was a bit over the food
and craved a simple piece of toast for breakfast, but for a shorter stay for if
I had more time to go elsewhere for food, the hotel provides many options.
Shopping nearby the hotel was at Boca Park (lots of restaurants there too- my
seminar was too busy to allow time to try them. I did have a couple of outings
to the Strip, catching the WAX bus, which leaves from the Suncoast car park, to
the Premium Outlet North mall and then the tourists buses to the strip. I caught
taxis back to the hotel both times, the fair is about $40 from the Strip to the
hotel and $55 from the airport to the hotel. The hotel does have an airport
shuttle that I used on the return journey.
Overall, the Suncoast is excellent value for money if the location suits and you
can stand the smoke in the casino, the accommodation is very comfortable and
hospitable.

Do yourself a favor and get away from the sleaze of the strip and stay at the
best hotel in town. Very clean, large rooms, attentive staff, good food, great
parking, lots of activities. What more do you want? To top it off, they also
upgraded our room. Don't forget to sign up for a Players card after you check
in. Love it so much, going back next week.

This hotel is off the Strip and located in the Summerlin area of Las Vegas. The
facilities and furnishings are newer and the hotel has activities like casino,
movie theatres, bowling alleys, pool/hot tub, and a sports book. We found the
food to be very average.
The upsides: We got an upgraded room because they were full--nice perk and the
views were stunning. The room was very comfortable and spotless. The free
parking lot is spacious. There are 24 hour eating options (good for when you
take the red-eye in or out). There is a shuttle to the Strip area.
The downsides: The casino area is smokier than other Vegas casinos, even with
the air filters running. Pool bar not open in March. Servers were generally not
very attentive and there were long waits at the front desk. Internet access was
14.99/day. |
