Vdara is a great (non-smoking) hotel in Las Vegas in the Middle of the Strip. We
stayed for one night only during the week and found it was a real bargain
($129.-/night)! We got a standard room but it looked more like a Suite with a
stupendous view on the strip and a fabulous bathroom. Service is excellent
(check-in and -out, parking etc.) and the hotel's connected to the Bellagio.
The Vdara is a great hotel and offers fantastic deals during the week (prices
double at the weekend!!).

We stayed at the Vdara for 7 nights. The hotel room was fantastic. We were on
the 34th floor and asked for a view of the Bellagio fountains at check in which
we were given complimentary. The room was immaculate and clean. The bed was the
comfiest we have ever slept in. A couple of times the water or shower gel werent
replaced but all we had to do was ask and this was rectified with an apology.
The pool is a little small but we got a sun bed every day as they remove towels
from beds if not used. On a weekend the pool is packed with young people
sunbathing and drinking. The hotel reception smelt lovely and we had no problem
with check in or check out. It is a quick walk approx 2 minutes to Aria hotel
which has a casino and plenty of fantastic restaurants. There is also an
undercover walkway to Bellagio. There is a free tram from Bellagio to City
Centre hotels (Vdara and Aria) Crystals shopping centre and Monte Carlo hotel. I
would definitely stay here again as it is only 5-10 mins walk to get onto the
strip yet it is also smoke and gaming free - the best of both worlds.

You could certainly do worse when choosing a nice room *near* the strip, but
will likely not return to Vdara. Overall the resort is beautiful, but they made
a lot of bonehead mistakes that make it hard to recommend. Chief among these is
the shower. Despite a sprawling floorplan, so little real estate is reserved for
the shower that it's almost difficult to turn around. Add in an oversized
showerhead that blocks its own ability to tilt down, and you soon realize you'll
go the entire stay without a proper wash below the waist. The eco-friendly, Las
Vegas desert low-flow water pressure doesn't help. Slate floors are nice, but
hopefully you won't have a woman in heels walking the floors of the room above
you as I did. Remote control window shades seem like a high-class addition but
even the level labeled "Black Out" does nothing of the sort, and there is no
manual way to close the light-spilling gaps. Vdara is beautifully designed but
they obviously didn't think about the actual guest experience when drawing up
the pretty pictures. Also, I rate the service low because multiple employees
didn't know the answers to simple questions like "What time is check out?" or
"How do I get to X from here?"

This is a great hotel for people that want to escape the insanity of Vegas, but
still have access to the casinos and nightlife. The rooms are pretty large, but
my suite had kind of a choppy set up with the furniture. My co-worker's suite
was much more open. The view of the fountains and pools at Bellagio was awesome.
The bed was really comfortable and the bathtub was amazing. As soon as I went
into the gym facilities I didn't mind the resort fee. Even though it wasn't
huge, the gym was really nice. The equipment was all in great shape and they had
towels and water set up at all of the machines. It closes kind of early, but I
prefer to workout in the morning anyway. I thought the service throughout the
hotel was amazing, everyone we encountered was very friendly and asked how we
were doing. I agree with some of the criticism about the cafe, it's not set up
very well and the food isn't worth it. For being the only food option in the
hotel it was kind of a disappointment, but Aria is right there with plenty to
pick from. In my room I forgot I was in the middle of the strip in Vegas...then
I went to wait for the elevator and it all came back to me. That will always be
a long process in that town, so I can't fault the hotel...I just wish the fancy
lights didn't emit so much heat in that tiny metal box! Overall though a great
hotel for business travelers or those who want to have a break from the casinos
and noise.

The location rocked, room service was great, love the valet, best bar ive ever
been to. There's no casino so it's kid friendly. Rooms are huge and soooo nice.
I only didn't like that the curtains split and let the rising sun in way to
early for Vegas
