This was our 3rd time at the Bellagio and once again we weren’t disappointed,
check in took longer than normal due to the fact that I had booked 2 rooms and
the guy at check in was trying to get the rooms as close as possible, we did end
up on the same floor but on different wings.
Both rooms had been recently upgraded however the only big difference that I
could tell was the furniture and the flat screen TV, both rooms were clean and
large, but you don’t come to Vegas to stay in your room. Housekeeping was very
efficient but they did insist on doing turndown at 6.00pm which for us was way
too early. However all of the staff that we encountered were friendly and
courteous.
The hotel lobby was always busy, even more so during the evening with throngs of
tourists viewing the glass ceiling and the conservatory, both of which are
stunning.
The hotel has a great location on the strip, and the monorail connection to City
Centre and Monte Carlo is fast clean and efficient. The food and service in the
Café Bellagio was up to its high standards, and Sensi serve a wonderful chicken
curry… We will definitely be back, and now to start saving the pennies for our
next visit.

We had travelled for 11 hours to arrive at the Bellagio and our welcome was a
little disappointing, there was no one available to help with our luggage and
trying to get served at the check in desk is like trying to get served at a busy
American theme bar, there is no queuing system so it can take ages unless you
are assertive. After checking in we were given a map showing us roughly where
our room was, making our way through a busy casino with luggage was a little
frustrating. Our room was very clean, spacious and well equipped.
This hotel has around 5500 rooms and employs about 11,000 staff. If you are here
purely for gambling and entertainment it will serve your needs adequately, if
you are here for a wedding / holiday ( as we were ) you may find this somewhat
overwhelming.
Considering so many people are staying and passing through the Bellagio, it is
spotless and there are staff always cleaning and tidying. Meal times can be very
frustrating as there will be queues for pretty much everything, no preference is
given to guests so you will be queuing with people who come in from the street,
with one exception - if you hold an "M Life" royalty card you go to the front of
the queues, this creates a 2 tier class system which was annoying. Food and
service in the restaurants was good throughout our weeks stay.
With so many guests and visitors we felt like we were a number rather than a
guest of the hotel, hospitality was somewhat lacking as a result. Drinks are
free if you are gambling but when its busy (most of the time) service can be
very irregular.
One evening we went to the Cosmopolitan and their hospitality around the tables
was superior and the croupiers much more helpful if you are an inexperienced
gambler.
Another evening we enjoyed a meal at the Venetian and found there service and
friendliness of staff was far superior.
We came to Vegas to get married and enjoy a holiday. On our big day we paraded
through the hotel where my wife's dress was trodden on numerous times by
ignorant / drunk people as we made our way to the reception where a big white
limo was waiting for us, this was noticed or acknowledged by none of the 11,000
staff at the Bellagio, nor upon our return.
If we were to come to Vegas again I think we would consider going to the
Venetian or the Wynn hotels next time. Although the Cosmopolitan was really
good, guests tend not to where much clothing in there as it caters more for
younger guests.
Quite why the Bellagio does not give all guests an "M Life" royalty card as a
matter of course I really have no idea, I think this would aid staff in
identifying guests more easily and help with the lacking hospitality we
experienced.

Staying at Bellagio was a wonderful experience. The pool area is amazing, and
the hotel is stunning. I actually spent an hour just wandering around; the hotel
is huge:) We had a standard room with a king bed, remote-controlled everything
(even the drapes). What really wowed me was the bathroom. Floor to ceiling
marble, separate soaking tub and HUGE shower. Just lovely. Location cannot be
beat, everything within walking distance.

This is our 4th time to Vegas and our 1st staying at at the Bellagio. It's a
nice hotel central which makes it easy to access other hotels and shopping. We
booked the superior rooms and it was specious, clean and the bathrooms were a
great size. The only downside was the tv which was too small for the room, was
not a flat screen and the picture had static which made it hRd tok enjoy. For a
5 star we were surprised. The staff at the front desk were friendly both in
checkin and out. Lots of upmarket shops ine the hotel with a link into Caesars
Palace. The fountain show is worth the effort so make sure you make time for
that.

I have stayed at all the major hotels in Vegas. I had always thought Bellagio
was going to be top of the line luxury. I was suppose to receive a comp suite
for 3 nights. When we arrived we were told to go to VIP check in. She told me
there was a suite available. Great! Then I asked for a fountain view. She said
that was available also. When we entered our room I was a little puzzled. It
didn't look like a suite, but I thought well , maybe they call this a suite
here. It was a recently remodeled room. Seemed bright and airy. I did ask the
maid if it was a suite and she said no. My husband had already unpacked and
didn't want to try and move so I just forgot about it. We played in the casino a
couple of days and never won anything and very few cocktails! Huge casino. We
played lots of different dominations and never won enough to even have fun
playing. Went down the street to Mirage and had some wins and plenty of
drinks...Bellagio is beautiful , but I seemed to always like Mirage the best. We
ate at the cafe several times and it was pretty good. Prime Steakhouse was very
good. Also, I posted a separate review of Le Cirque. Awful, don't waste your
money. Approximately $300 for 2 people. I had 1 cocktail and my husband had 3.
We ate lunch at Olives and it was very good. They had a beautiful pool area. I
also went to the spa and had a treatment for stressed hair and was very pleased
with it. Although, the treatment was $150 and the blow dry was $75. Oh well,
only in Vegas...
