We were invited to our friends wedding party at the Golden Nugget... and what an
astonishment !!! Once a down town "ugly duckling" this place has blinded us with
its... well everything. A modern resort with all the "must have" amenities . We
visited our old friends in their rooms (all three towers). The Rush Tower is the
best, followed by the Gold Tower, and the Carson Tower would be the "budget"
one. All three worth to stay in with not a big difference in price. Now the SPA
Tower room (where the bride and the groom stayed) was something out of the "four
star" world (see photos). What a treat for those with romantic intents. And the
solemnity of the wedding chapel would be remembered "until the death makes us
apart". And finally the pool with a huge fish tank and cabana terraces right
above it and a water sliding tube going from the top all the way down through
the aquarium. By the way, the inside aquarium part of the tube is transparent.
Can't wait to take my grand daughter to that pool.

We have been staying at the Golden Nugget for years and it was our first time in
the Rush Tower. My husband surprised me with a junior suite for our 35th
anniversary and birthday which were on the 26th & 27th of June. Check in was
done quickly.
We were on the 6th floor in room 6202 which was beautiful and spacious. It was
spotless our entire stay thanks to Norma. The room did not have a good view out
of either window, one side overlooked the roof top and the other the canopy of
the Freemont Experience. We didn't care as we weren't there to spend all our
time in the room. It did get noisy at 6 in the morning when the garbage trucks(I
think that was the noise) were banging around however.
I had great luck on the machines while my husband did not but that's gambling
anywhere. The breakfast buffet was so-so compared to past years whereas the
Carson Cafe was much better than past years. We also tried the Grotto for the
first time. The food and service was great. Drink service was offered quite
often in the casino. We are already planning our next stay at this wonderful
hotel.

We have stayed here before. We stayed on the strip for two nights and decided to
spend our third night at Golden Nugget.
If management is reading,I would like to compliment your check-in staff on their
quick and efficient check-in! Thank you for getting me through the long line and
to my room so quickly!
Your rooms continue to be gorgeous. We even upgraded to your Gold Tower this
time. I love your furnishings, the curtains, the comfortable bed, and all of the
really nice details, like the sink and Keurig coffee maker. I loved the really
nice and big TV in the room.
Parents, this is a great place to bring your kids. They will love the really
special pool area with its shark tank and sliding tube. There is plenty of music
in the pool area, and guests enjoy the recliner mats in the pool.
Parking is free for guests. Unfortunately there is no free WiFi.
We will definitely return to this hotel.

The service was very good. The people are very friendly and helpfull.
We had a room in the Rush Tower.
The room are very modern, very clean, comfortable and very spacious.
The Shark tank in the swimming pool is really amazing. Should check it out.
Location is good as well, you can enjoy a walk on fremont street or take a 5
minute drive to the strip.
Not being on the strip, makes that in the evening/night it is quiet in the hotel
and you can enjoy a good nights rest.
The Buffet is ok, but the choice is limited.
The Buffet at the Bellagio was the same price but much more choice and the food
was really good there.
No free internet though.

Arrived on thurs, check in was easy at the rush tower. Parking is free for guest
and no resort fee. Its on the fremont street where you can walk at 8-12 and see
the show! It has a 70's feel. The hotel has a lot to offer. A casino and good
resturants. The cart house was by far the best food there! The pool on the main
floor is crowded by 11am there is a pool on the third floor. Skip the buffet-
not worth the money and tasteless... beware of the grand view time share tour.
We did it for 250 in comps but it took well over the 2-3 hour est of time. It
pretty much took a whole 4 to 5 hours. It was worth it for us since we didn't
really have plans for that day. |
