I stayed may and June, enjoyed it so much that we are talking about coming back
next year, staff very friendly, food at the buffet very good and reasonable
prices, room very clean and nice, enjoyed the pool and hot tub, parking not an
issue, plenty of shopping around the hotel no complaints, highly recommend it

We have been coming to Las Vegas to visit relatives three to four times a year
for the past sixteen years. Whether from reservation desk to casino floor,
bellhop to restaurant, the staff at the Suncoast are always helpful, polite and
observant to our needs. During our last visit, to surprise my mother on Mother's
Day, the reservation desk personnel were kind enough to accommodate my special
needs and even upgraded our room at no extra charge. The the beds are
comfortable, the rooms are big and always clean. If ever there is a problem,
which rarely happens, it is attended to in a heartbeat with a smile and an
apology for the inconvenience.
Since the Suncoast Hotel first opened it has been our first choice as the place
to stay when visiting our family.

We recently stayed at the Suncoast Hotel for a wedding we attended. This hotel
was chosen by the couple, so we weren't sure what to expect. The staff was
pleasant enough. Upon entering, we immediately noticed how strongly it smelled
of smoke (much stronger than any other casino we've ever been in). Our room was
spacious enough and clean, though dated somewhat in appearance. The toilet in
our bathroom leaked a bit and the brass towel racks were all scratched up as
well. The wallpaper was peeling off in a spot or two. Our toiletries were not
replenished at all during our stay, but we didn't bother to call about it. The
price of course is ridiculously low. My husband and I aren't big gamblers, so
thought we would enjoy some time by the pool. We were surprised at how small the
pool was and that there were no poolside servers. It is more like any backyard
pool rather than a pool for a large casino. There is a TGI Fridays near the
pool, which we were able to get drinks from and ate at a couple of times. The
food and service there was very good. There is a bar by the pool, but it wasn't
open at all during our 4 day stay. This property is a good 30 minute ride from
the strip, which is about a $50 cab ride one way! For us personally, we would
much prefer to stay closer in as we like to site see and visit different
restaurants. The pool is also a large deciding factor for us as well.

This week, we had friends in from Los Angeles for a two-day visit.
We went everywhere...casinos, restaurants, the strip, antique stores,
World Series of Poker, ...........tons of places.
Our guests' FAVORITE stop.....The Artisan.
The vibe was amazing...every staff member was enthusiastic and positive.
The pool manager, J.R. was extremely hospitable and gave us a wonderful tour.
The bartender...Lindsay... made us the most perfect drinks ever. (Our guest
Mike said is was the BEST bloody mary he ever had)
Chef Eric, as usual, worked his magic with a fantastic lunch.
Even Odie the valet attendant was friendly and hospitable.
Whenever we have friends or relatives visiting, the FIRST place on the
agenda will be the Artisan.
p.s.
We did not stay overnight at the Artisan...it was strictly a luncheon/cocktail
visit.

we usually stay on strip for all the action, but decided to try Suncoast for a
change and we are so glad we did as it is our new favorite place. parking is
simple, well marked and easy to get from the garage to the casino via an indoor
walkway. if you want to valet or need to pull up to the front door, that area is
big and uncongested with lots of seating if you want to unload passengers and
luggage. if you know Vegas, thats a plus(!!!!) as most casinos are NOT easy to
pull up to and even harder to find a place to park. we checked in early, not a
problem....thats always a big plus with us....and the front desk was fast and
courteous. first thing we noticed was how clean the casino, hallways and
elevators were......never saw it any other way the whole time we were there. the
rooms are very nice, big and clean. the bathrooms are HUGE, big shower space and
lots of counter space, 2 sinks, in room coffee( YEAH!!!!) in room safe and a
refrigerator. our room was not the upgrade to the golf course side, but we had a
great view of the whole city and strip, and we had a golf course right out the
window. we thought it was a lovely view, without having to pay more. we ate in
almost every restaurant there and the food was excellent in all of them. BANG
FOR YOUR BUCK: bottomless margaritas and endless tacos and enciladas at the
Mexican restaurant, all for just $9.99 and it was the BEST Mexican food i have
ever had. the refills were a-plenty on the margaritas, and they were excellent,
too. even if you dont eat deli food, check out the deli....biggest pastries and
doughnuts you have ever seen!!!!! we had late night snacks there and it was very
good and inexpensive. they have wonderful desserts/pastries/cookies but they
also have a variety of salads and fresh fruit plates. dont gamble? there are
movie theatres and a bowling alley for you and a free bus that takes you to the
strip that runs all day and into the night. there is even a newspaper at your
door every morning. yes, the crowd is an older crowd, but that was ok with us.
if you need more action, stay on strip, we liked the relaxed atmosphere for a
change. and we LOVED our 3 days at Suncoast. |
