We chose this hotel for two nights due to the value when redeeming airline points. This was our first trip to Vegas, so being off the strip was not an issue since we had a rental. The room was basic, and relatively clean. No mini fridge, coffee maker or microwave. However, there were lots of restaurants to choose from, movie theater, kids arcade, and a Starbucks on the main floor. There are a couple shopping plazas, and restaurants in walking distance from the hotel. Compared to the higher end hotels (we walked through them), Sunset's ventilation system (we are non smokers) were not as good. On the positive side, we received coupons for free drinks, and discounts for food. We went to Hooters (our daughter loves wings) for dinner. Overall, I would recommend this location if you are not into the huge crowds (there seems to be a lot of locals), and you just want the basic vegas casino scene.

The rooms and restaurants we're very pleasurable. The restaurant selection was amazing! I didn't meet an employee on property that wasn't helpful or willing to give directions as to where entertainment and casino games were located. The Poker Room was in a great location with food and the Sports Book close by. The movie theatres and bowling alley just took the experience over the top. I will most definitely recommend to all my friends and colleagues!

Traveled to Vegas with 4 other couples and stayed at Sunset Station. Wasn't sure about staying off the strip but thought it would be nice to give it a try. We will definitely all stay again. Rooms were comfortable and clean, food was good and wasn't far from the strip at all. Housekeeping was so accommodating and friendly, even remember the woman's name...Lynn ( tall, blonde lady) was great!!! She was right there when you called and made everyone in our group very comfortable.
The staff was always smiling!!! Thanks for making our stay even more enjoyable!

We've been to Las Vegas over 40 times and stayed in most of the better hotels including several of the five star hotels. We've gambled and eaten at Sunset Station many times. So, we thought we'd try the hotel. We booked two Jr. Suites. When we checked in we were upgraded to a suites with a living room, dining room, bar, bedroom, and two restrooms. VERY NICE ! We almost didn't want to leave the suites. However, we had to go downstairs and have some fun. We had a great time at Sunset Station except for our experience at Guadalajara’s, which had TERRIBLE SERVICE ! Great hotel for the price.
