Just back home from our bi-annual trip to Las Vegas staying at our favorite
hotel ,no not the biggest ,smartest, newest or swishest. Just the friendliest
comfiest ,most convenient. best value off strip little gem in Vegas by a country
mile. We are always made to feel most welcome, get the room we request and
always have a great stay. All of the hotel and casino and cafe/buffet staff are
great ,of course there is always the odd exception but don't tell me you don't
get that in the high end bracket either, everybody has a bad day now and then.
Tell me the last time you stayed at one of the large strip hotels and got
recognized as a returning customer ,i'll bet the occasions are few and far
between, unless of course you are mr/mrs high roller. We are recognized by most
staff and it just makes the whole trip a bit more personal. Also a big thank you
goes to Kirsten at Terribles a very helpful lady. In closing if you haven't been
to Terribles yet give it your consideration, read other reviews, but at the end
of the day if you don't give it a shot you wont know what your missing. Also
some people complain the place is full of locals. but in my humble opinion when
you are abroad on vacation you usually find the best places to stay and eat are
the ones frequented by the locals because the locals know the best places.

despite the reviews I read, we decided to stay there for two nights. Room was
nice and clean, beds were comfortable, and internet was free and worked great.
Room also had a big flat screen tv that worked great as well. However, most
staff and management we encountered were very unfriendly. it was almost like
they made you feel unimportant. I would suggest to stay away from the buffet, as
the food selection is poor and the food quality was terrible. The restaurant,
on-the-other-hand, had great food, generous portions, and good prices. I enjoyed
the 9.99 t-bone steak dinner. However, no matter what time of day we went to
eat. we had to wait a long time for our food. so prepare to wait. A few times we
almost walked out cause we were tired of waiting. I would suggest to sign up for
the players club, if you go to the gift shop you can use it for a discount. We
parked the car in the parking lot and felt like we had to check on it every day;
but there was no problem with it. I think, if it would have been any longer than
a two day stay I would have stayed somewhere else. overall, I think I would stay
there again, simply for the cheap price.

I stayed at this hotel for a night when I unexpectedly got to stay in Vegas
another night. This hotel is not close to the strip so we stayed here our last
night before heading home. The room was a bit outdated but for the price that's
expected. The only thing that I did not like about this hotel was the plastic
matres pad that was under the sheets every time I moved at night I heard the
plastic crinkle and it kinda grossed me out. I did enjoy gambling at this hotel
and was able to get a free t shirt and coffee cup (free souvenirs) when I signed
up for a players card.I would stay here again if I went to Vegas without saving
up for the trip. I don't recommend this room if your wanting a romantic night it
doesn't have that kind of vibe. But overall not a bad place to stay off the
strip.

We needed a room in Las Vegas for one night and since we were arriving late from
Boston we wanted a very inexpensive room. On our wish list was a property that
had a casino (can't arrive in Las Vegas and not play a few slots, regardless of
the time) clean rooms, comfortable beds, easy parking, and not to far away from
the airport. Terribles fit the bill!!! Needless to say we were very concerned on
what we would get for our AARP rate of $34 but we were pleasantly surprised and
would stay there again, no problem!! |
