Spent 4 nights here. Great situation in centre of the Strip. Very friendly staff
and plenty of places to dine at reasonable rates. We enjoyed the' dealertainers'
who burst into song on a regular basis.

this was only my 2nd time to Vegas and thought it didn't really matter where you
sleep, it's just a bed and you're not in your room very much!!! well I was wrong
on this bed .. the shuttle dropped us off in the back alley it felt like OMG
where are we and then a long walk to check in which took forever. Then it was
"The Find The Right Elevator" to get you to the right Tower!!! All the while you
were getting gassed from the smoke, no ventilation in this place!!! The carpets
are disgusting, I first thought that they must of just cleaned the carpets in
our room they looked wet, scarred to take my shoes off!!! The sheets were at
least clean and the bathroom was also, points for that!! Nothing else to get
excited about in this place, dark dirty and smelly.

My wife and I just got back from what I can only describe as a bad experience at
the Imperial Palace. It started out by us arriving at the hotel at 8pm from
Canada so needless to say we were a little exhausted and a little jet lag. They
asked us at the front desk if we would like a smoking or non-smoking room. Of
course, being non smokers we asked for a non smoking room. Mistake of a
lifetime! They put us in a room about four floors above a live band that was
playing outside until 3am. The room was shaking the entire time from the bass of
the music being played. Finally after the band was finished we fell asleep only
to be waken up at 7am to the sound of jackhammers. I guess that is the most
appropriate time to do construction outside your balcony. I was so angry that we
went downstairs to complain and change rooms. They basically told us "ya, that
can be a "little" loud". They offered us a room on the other side of the hotel,
but for me that was not good enough. They then offered us two free buffet
vouchers for the hotels buffet. I figured it was better than nothing, only to
realize that they give you a coupon book for 2 for 1 buffet, which means they
basically gave us one buffet for free. On top of everything else, once we
changed rooms, I looked out the balcony door only to see the parking garage and
a ton of pigeons. Very disappointing to say the least. This was the worst part
of our trip to Vegas that we had been saving for for months. I highly recommend
spending a little extra money and staying at a different hotel if you plan on
going. This was an experience that I would not want anyone else to have to deal
with.

Stayed for two nights, average stay, room was clean, no tea or coffee making
facilities. staff were average more interested in selling timeshare. Reception
staff were poor, couldn't get our name right so we just gave up. Carpets and
Elevators smell old and stale. With all the money this place and Las Vegas have
would it be to difficult to spend some on replacing the carpets and updating the
elevators. Would not recommend to friends or family. The only plus side was the
location.

Wow, where to start. First, I should say that I'm well aware of the atmosphere
in Vegas and everybody is out to have a good time. However, during check in, I
was amazed at the boisterous loud drunken stupor of the clientele within the
confines of the casino, lounges and table games that were all within earshot of
the check in counter. The majority of the partakers were young 20 something kids
whooping and hollering and spilling their drinks all over everybody. The
elevator ride to my room on the top floor was not impressive. The condition of
the elevators were deplorable. Severely stained carpeting, all the trim within
was ragged and scuffed, cracked or broken. Upon stepping into my room, my jaw
dropped. The carpeting was stained and filthy over virtually every square inch.
It also looked as if it hadn't been vacuumed in months. The upholstery on the
furniture was every bit as bad with prominent stains of unknown origin. The rock
band that plays in the outdoor bar area right next door plays until 2:00am every
morning and was as if they were in your room. The walk out balcony was a nice
touch, however the door was old and decrepid. The beds were surprisingly clean
and relatively comfortable and the bathroom was fine. If I hadn't have been
deathly sick this week, I would have gathered the strength to go down and
request a nicer room (if there was such a thing) and one that was far away from
the live early morning concerts. I did speak with some other associates that
stayed here this week and a few of them said they had (reconditioned) rooms that
were not bad at all. I guess what this means is that when checking in or booking
a room here, you better specify that you want updated rooms or you may get
disgusting instead. Bottom line, if you are a young adult whos only desire is to
stay out all night and get sloppy drunk, party with the band, be obnoxiously
loud and not care one iota what your room condition is, this may be the ideal
place for you to stay. Otherwise, my recommendation would be to stay elsewhere.

Our Stay Wed Jan 18th-Sat 21st
The I.P. is Fun hotel and I just love going back to this place. The location is
terrific, right in the heart of the strip! The hotel & casino is on the small
side so you can walk from your room and be on the strip in no time. Unlike the
larger hotels where is seams like you have to walk for miles and if you are
lucky you can find the door to get on to the strip!
The staff is very friendly & helpful and they try there best to make you happy
in this old relic.
Now PLEASE understand the I.P. is old, outdated, run down and a bit worn!!!!!!!
The carpet in the hallways is old & you can expect to find a few stains in the
carpet & on your chairs in your room. The shower/ tub drains very slowly but
that is nothing new.
The staff does a great job keeping the place clean. The towels & sheets are
clean and the bathroom is fresh but just expect the room to be a bit outdated .
For the price you are paying I just love the I.P.. It is cheap ,clean and right
on the strip and I will be going back again.
If you want a cheap clean place this is it if you can overlook the wear & tear.
Personally I think it gives the I.P. a certain charisma and that is what I like
most .
This is not a very fancy hotel so not the place for the "classy type" so if you
can not overlook the "worn" details of this hotel you will need to pay more and
stay at another hotel.
For $44.95 you can get 24hr. buffet unlimited pass to I.P. and 7 other hotels.
This is a good deal but make sure you find out what times each hotel buffets are
open we did not realize most of them close at 10 p.m. so we missed out on a late
dinner and eat at another restaurant
Hash House a GO GO at the I.P. has really good food at a fair price and HUGE
PORTIONS!
Burger palace is quick cheap good food and 24Hrs.
Toby Keith's next door at Harrah's has good size portions.
The Monorail has a stop right at the I.P. so getting around the strip is real
easy if you do not want to walk.
The I.P. is a great place to stay, it is just old and beat up a bit!

Please please please.... if you are thinking of staying at the Imperial Palace
Hotel, don't! It is, without doubt, the most disgusting, depressing hotel I have
ever stayed in. I had booked for 6 nights to attend a conference, and
checked-out after one. Where to start...? The check-in line is ridiculous. The
place is filthy, The elevators never ever arrive (I had to use the housekeeping
elevator to get myself up and down from the 14th floor). The rooms are seriously
dated, and dirty. The bed linen is horrid. It smells bad - all over the hotel.
They don't even do nice food. I can honestly say there is not one redeeming
quality I can think of. The best bit? Checking-out 5 nights earlier than
planned. Now at Caesars Palace ($50 more per night!) and its a different world. |
