We just came back from an awesome week at the Luxor in Vegas. Rooms were
adequate, casino was nice, restaurants were very good. The only drawback was a
sewage smell in the casino at certain points. Other than that it was a terrific
property. We would definitely stay there again.

We had a party of six staying for five nights last week. It was an amazing trip.
Loved the Luxor. Rooms were comfortable and rates agreeable. Delicious beverages
and buffet. The only thing I got tired of was the constant nagging from the
"free show" people.

hotel room was clean, but felt damp. Because of the shape of the building you
can't open the windows, rooms very dark, and too far up on the strip you have to
walk forever to get anywhere. there is a resort fee. It was ok for a short
notice trip but will not be staying there again. I would have rather stayed at
the IP

The pyramid room on the 11th floor was quiet and comfortable enough, and the
views were great, although the dark-tinted windows made it look like a cloudy
day all the time. But as others have said, the hotel is past its prime. Lots of
chipped paint, dings, and dents. It takes all day for housekeeping to get to
your rooms and expect to see bundles of sheets and used meal trays sitting in
the halls until the next day. It might be fun for families who have never
visited Las Vegas before and the pyramid rooms can be had for less than chain
motels in a big city, but don't expect any "perks" such as a coffee pot or
microwave in the room, free breakfast, or free internet. Yes, there IS internet
(wired) in the rooms, but it is courtesy of an additional "resort" tax that you
MUST pay whether you use any of the amenities it supposedly covers.

The Luxor, like all the hotels on the strip, is extremely impressive and huge on
first impressions! The reception is massive and the whole atmosphere of the
place is over the top - exactly what you expect from Las Vegas.
After queuing to check in, we went up in the diagonal lift to our room in the
pyramid. The room was Egyptian themed with hieroglyphics on the wardrobe and
furniture. The room was a little dated and in need of a bit of TLC; there was a
mark on the carpet and it just felt a bit tired.
The public areas were was also a bit tatty in places, but that didn't detract
from the excitement of being at the Luxor in Las Vegas! As with the other
hotels, it has everything you need and probably a load of things you don't!
We did find that it was at the far end of the strip, so to get to the centre of
the strip, where a lot of the main hotels were, it took a long time whichever
mode of transport we used. We have decided that when we go back to Las Vegas we
would like to try a more central hotel and perhaps pay slightly more to stay
somewhere like the Venetian. We only paid about £30 a night to stay at the
Luxor, which is ridiculously cheap by the standards of most other places and for
the money we paid, there really should be no complaints about the hotel!

Don't get me wrong the price was excellent However I was surprised by the lack
of upkeep. The rooms and public areas of the hotel are becoming very dated.
Small things like scuffed wood furniture, stained carpet...etc.
The most annoying part of this hotel was being constantly hounded in the casino
by people trying to sell timeshares etc. "how long are you in town for?" "first
trip to Vegas?" Free show tickets, extra night stay they use every vegas ploy
they can. I stayed at Luxor for one night and was confronted 4 times by these
jerks. I stayed at Bally's once and did not even see one of these salesmen.
This is the only reason that I would not think of returning to Luxor...not even
to drop by and gamble. My advice Luxor...cut back on the harassing sales people

We booked the Luxor as a one-night stopover on our way to the Grand Canyon, with
a five night stay booked for a return leg. The one night was plenty; we moved to
the Paris for our longer stay.
We specifically asked for a non smoking room and the room reeked of stale
cigarettes. The decor was dated and tatty and we both felt very uncomfortable. I
know that you can get good deals at this hotel via the internet but for us it
does not live up to its billing.
We wont be returning

I was a little hesitant to stay here based on some of the reviews I read, but
the price was too good to pass. The room itself was very clean, nice linens, and
was spacious. The one complaint that I agree with other reviewers on was the
fact that room was dark, and could use some better lighting. The hotel itself
was a little old and could use some renovation, but it's not a deal breaker.
Location is probably the biggest downer. It's on the strip but very far down.
It's also a bit of an obstacle to get on the strip from the hotel. Overall not a
bad place if your not looking to spend a fortune and want to stay on the strip.

Stayed here for three nights on a trip to Vegas.
Check-in was quick, simple and friendly; all the staff we encountered were
friendly and eager to help.
Ate in the buffet restaurant for breakfast and evening meal on two of the nights
and the food was wonderful! Fantastic variety to choose from and something to
suit everyone.
The rooms were huge and the beds were comfortable! Try and get a pyramid room!
Location is good, near to the airport (although, still a taxi ride away). If you
want to be in the heart of "The Strip" it's not the place for you, there is a
monorail and walkway between Mandalay Bay- The Luxor- Excalibur which is very
handy though.
Overall, a very enjoyable stay and would definitely come back.

Hotel was good but the corridor to rooms felt like a walk down a crappy motel
hallway
Not luxury at all for what LUXOR signifies. Needs a bit of an update
Otherwise lounges great, T&T restaurant great. Bar service was awesome.
Liked the casual energy of the hotel. Got a good deal online. Happy with the
value.
non-smoking room smelled VERY smoky in the mornings, seemed to be coming thru
vents as were on 24th floor, that was gross.

This Hotel used to be one of the best in VEGAS, but it is looking rundown and
the rooms are old. I have stayed in nicer Hampton Inns. If you are on a tight
budget, I guess it is ok. If you do decide to book night there,

We've stayed at a few hotels on the strip and none were really "noisy" but our
rooms have never really been close to traffic or the airport either. This room
was both, facing the strip and right behind

I stayed at the Luxor over one weekend with a group of friends having a reunion
party in Vegas. We booked a Spa Suite in the pyramid since there were four of
us. Generally our experience was pretty good, and the room was spacious

We just stayed at the Luxor to run the Vegas 1/2 Marathon. I chose it because it
was close to the race, and I thought it would be a little nicer than Excalibur,
where we stayed for the last race. At check-in we were told we'd need to upgrade
our room

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Luxor while on vacation he wanted to stay in
the pyramid so I granted his wish lol!!!!!!!! The hotel room we had was a
pyramid queen it was a basic room but clean and nice beds (they were soft so if
you like hard beds then you might try somewhere |
