we stayed in the motel in back. this allows you to park close to your room. not
all that hiking like when you stay in a tower. the rooms were nice, clean and
comfortable. and cheep. just remember THERE IS A RESORT FEE OF 18.00 ADDED to
each room per night so that does inflate the price a little

When we arrived at the station we expected a clean 3 star hotel room. What we
got was a run down, no elevator dump called the “Courtyard” which had a lovely
view of a dumpster, and paper thin walls. At first I wanted to be positive and
asked my wife to do the same. After all we were on vacation. But after trying to
sleep on their plywood stuffed mattresses, my back screamed, “enough!!” We went
to the front desk to complain about the room quality and at first the
receptionist was helpful. She informed us that the tower beds were so much
better, but the manager would have to approve the transfer. We waited until the
manager arrived and spoke with her. Her attitude was definitely not helpful.
(She seemed to suspect we were trying to scam her or something I guess.) When I
told her about the terrible beds she said, “All of the hotels beds were the
same.” I responded that all of the beds were crap then. I was going to demand my
money back, but my wife wanted to know where they had placed us first. They had
downgraded us to the courtyard (dump) instead of the Tower room that we had
prepaid for! When I confronted the manager about this a room in the tower
“magically” opened up and they took 50 bucks off the bill (big deal) for trying
to pull that crap I will not recommend this hotel to anyone (unless I hate them)

The staff were top notch and eager to please. The buffet was excellent
breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The super bowl party was fabulous, great food and
drink, with a clear view of the game from anywhere in the room

The coffee shop had a great menu and generous portions. They also had specials
that were worthwhile. Now that I’ve said everything good I can say about Palace
Station Hotel, let me give you my review.
First you should know that the price you get from Hotels dot com is not the
price you’ll end up paying. Be very careful to check the “small print”. There is
a mandatory Resort Charge of $16.95 a day. This might be worthwhile if you don’t
rent a car and need a shuttle to and from the airport, you have to have Wi-Fi in
your room and you also are doing business and need copy and fax service.
Otherwise, you have no choice but to pay the fee even if you have a
non-refundable pre-paid reservation. After arguing with the front desk that I
didn’t need any of the services, they took $5.00 a day.
When we went over to the casino it was Smokey and very dated like the rooms we
were in. It reminded me of years ago when you would go out for the night and
when you came home and took off your shirt, it had this smell of cigarettes on
it.
I stayed in the courtyard rooms. The best thing in my opinion would be for the
Palace Station to implode the Courtyard buildings. They have a card system to
let you into the building and they didn’t always work. The view from the room
was the wall from the part of the building. We did have a “peek-a-boo” view of
the pool. The ceiling is “popcorn” style.
There was no bedspread on the bed and the blanket was lightweight. The room was
cold. They do have a heater in the room and it did eventually warm up the room.
The TV was an old analog style TV and the remote looked filthy. The walls were
so thin that we could hear the maid listening to the radio while she was
cleaning the room earlier in the day and then was able to hear the whole TV show
that the room next door was watching until 12:30 in the morning the night before
we had a 5:00 wake up to make our flight out.
I wouldn’t stay at the Palace Station again and wouldn’t recommend it to any of
my friends. This is unfortunate as The Station Casinos has some really great
properties other than the Palace Station.

We stayed at the Palace Station for 3 days. The general ambient of the hotel was
brash and noisy day and night; apart from bed to lie on at night and generous
free parking there is nothing else to write about this hotel.
The foods on offer at the hotel are basic and of low quality; luckily there were
few first class restaurants in a small shopping mall directly opposite the hotel
on West Sahara Road.
Nevertheless, Good Value!

There's nothing exciting about this place. It looks cool from the outside with
the train theme, but it starts and ends there. The rooms are average, the casino
is average. There's nothing that makes this place stand out from the others,
except the price. It's usually cheaper than others within close proximity. It's
close to the strip, downtown and anywhere you'd want to go. I'd recommend it if
you're not very particular where you stay, or if you don't want to pay much

We had another wonderful stay at Palace Station. We have been staying at Palace
for over 35+ years and every time it is worth it. We have a wonderful host who
makes sure we are taking care of and we feel very special. We always have
friends and family stay at Palace Station and we don't miss the strip.

We reserved 2 rooms for a very attractive rate, once room was an upgrade. The
rooms were nice. I would stay again - EXCEPT FOR THE EXTRA CHARGE THEY "INCLUDE"
UPON CHECK-IN. This seems like false advertising to advertise one price and upon
checking in, they say there is an additional $16.79 charge for each room and it
is a charge made to everyone upon arrival.

My tower room was amazing, clean, and comfortable. The in-house restaurants were
delicious, and the casino was just the right amount of busy (not so much that it
becomes overwhelming, but not so barren as to be depressing). The staff were
very helpful. Being off the strip was a little bit of a hassle, but I was never
more than a 10 minute cab ride away from anywhere, and they provide a free
shuttle. My friends who stayed on the strip payed three times as much for a much
smaller room they were barely satisfied with. All in all it was a great value
for the price.
My only real complaint was that the room had a beautiful huge HD TV, but no HD
content, alll programming was faded and stretched. But you don't really go to
Vegas for the TV.

Nice hotel for price, got the upgrade to suite room for $75, but my room was
only $18 at original price. Definitely want to stay in the tower if you are
there to spend time in your room.
