Our original reservation was at the Venetian, have stayed there many times. They
offered us an upgrade at a minimal fee. Which I decided to take. It was a
gorgeous ROOM. So big and lush. The best bed I've slept in at a Hotel.Opulent
and gorgeous. House keeping was quick and left us extra towels. Room service was
hot and fresh. The Casino the decor was beautiful. We had an amazing trip. Never
to be forgotten. Centrally located, perfect for girls weekend, a romantic get
away .. or a work venue. It was a little on the pricier side of the Vegas
offerings. But so worth it !!

We upgraded to a room with a view of strip and it was worth the extra $50 per
night to see the mountains and look down upon the beautiful pools at The
Palazzo. Very nice hotel compared to others we saw in Vegas (the Wynn seemed
gorgeous as well). The Palazzo and Venetian make for a nice combo - and what's
more - there's a Walgreens between them so you can stock up on water bottles and
snacks at reasonable cost. The Venetian also has a nice food court for
affordable lunches should you be travelling with family. The Delmonico
Restaurant at the Palazzo (Emeril Lagasse) was wonderful. Our room had 3
flat-screen televisions (one in the bathroom!) and more square footage than most
condos. This and the gorgeous lobby, tasteful marble and decor made The Palazzo
a beautiful retreat. We popped in the Bellagio, Treasure Island and Caesar's
Palace and immediately knew we had picked the better hotel. I understand The
Wynn and Mandalay Bay are lovely too - not so sure about others. The only
drawback I can think of was the towels weren't very soft, but the bed was the
most comfortable I've ever experienced in a hotel. The Palazzo / Venetian combo
is huge so for anyone who's never been, be forewarned that you will do a lot of
walking (don't be fooled by all the pretty ladies in 6 inch heels you see
everywhere - they are suffering!).

We arrived at the hotel at approximately 4:30 PM. We checked in and were given
keys that did not work. After 3 more sets that did not work and 5 hours later,
we still could not get into our room. With the 4th set, the girl behind the
counter said the manager was going to go to our room with us to make sure this
set worked. But, he was too busy and said just to offer us a $50 credit -
really!!! Of course set #4 did not work either. By this time we were the crazy
people in the lobby INSISTING that they lock be changed. They finally did and we
got keys that worked about 11:30 that night. The lobby is smoke filled and
service leaves much to be desired. We will not go back to this hotel.

Morrell's maybe one of the two best classic French restaurants in Vegas. The
food was creative yet mainstream classic french. Fruit and candied walnut salad,
all the cheeses, bacon studded escargot, short ribs to die for, aged steaks w/
all the sauces. The service was impeccable but could use larger ice water
glasses and colder water for our U.S. palates. No jacket needed. Manager should
do a better job at promoting as it deserves a more featured place on the net.

Great hotel, rooms are some of the biggest in Vegas (but for some reason don't
give slippers).
They do charge a "resort fee" which always gets up my nose. For $20 you get free
internet (but only if you have a laptop which I didn't), Free local phone calls
(not much use to me in the UK!!), a free coffee (but they didn't give me the
"voucher" at check in). It's just another way to drag a few more bucks out of
the customer, just add it to the room rate and people like me wouldn't
complain!!!! I noticed that hotels like Ceasars Palace and Paris don't charge
resort fees so there's no reason for anyone else to either (in my opinion that
is).
Still a great hotel though.

We travel to Vegas for business twice a year. We have stayed at the Bellagio,
MGM, Treasure Island, The Golden Nugget, Trump (extremely poor), Encore (Great
Hotel) and the Palazzo. I would rate the Palazzo and Encore as the best 2 hotels
in Vegas. The service is outstanding and the Casino shows little sign of smoke.
The 720 sq. foot suites were beautifully appointed and the beds were very
comfortable. The location is perfect for shopping, the strip, and great
restaurants.
For meals, try the breakfast buffet at the Grand Luxe Cafe with no waiting and
only $16.50 with coffee and juice. For the best burger ever, eat at Carnevino
pub, but expect to pay $12 and up for beer. For coffee, go to the Cafe Presse in
the shops as the coffee in the hotel were not very good.
We rented a car on this trip, and the self parking was easy to get in and out of
the hotel without waiting in hotel lines. If was easy to get to the interstate
and many points of interest also.

The Palazzo was a wonderful place to celebrate the 2012! We had a perfect room
24738 it overlooked the Treasure Island Hotel & we had a wonderful view of the
fireworks at midnight! Service in the room was great and so was the cleanliness
of the room! The shower pressure in the main spout was in need of help however!
This suite was a Prestige suite which comes with breakfast & access to the
Prestige Club. It would have been nice to have the Palazzo inform us that in
order to participate in the NYE celebration at the Prestige Club it had to be
booked ahead when we booked the room. |
