My son was playing in a youth hockey Tournament at Las Vegas Ice Center over
President's Day Weekend...this Hotel is perfect. It is on Flamingo and the rink
is up Flamingo to the West.
We stayed four days in a one bedroom suite on the 24th Floorl. It is much more
like a condo than a hotel room. It was quiet, clean and the staff is extremely
friendly. We had to hit the ice rink early, very early for 3 days straight even
having a 6:00 am game start time and we needed to be at the rink at 4:45 am. The
Valet service was excellent and our truck was headed to the rink within 5
minutes from the time I gave the ticket to the valet. No one was asleep or
missing in action and the security was great also as I felt that some Hotels in
Las Vegas (especially those with a casino) have a lot of riff raff hanging
around, especially in the early AM. Not once did I feel like my family was
exposed to the toxic element that some of Las Vegas attracks.
Our room had a great view on the 24th Floor and the kids loved it. The kitchen
was very handy (including microwave, full refrigerator, and best thing yet, a
Toaster!) even though we did order room service two or three nights as the food
from the restaurant on site is excellent and not really overpriced considering
that this is a very nice Hotel and we were kind of on vacation. The TV also had
a DVD player and of course any movie you could possible want to see.
As for the internet, the hotel supplied Wi-fi worked flawlessly. The hard wire
RJ 45 system is no longer functional (even though the room purports to have it)
so bring a USB Wi-fi card if your laptop or other computer device does not built
in Wi-fi. Cell phone Wi-fi also worked though our phones use a regular provider.

Palms Place does not have a casino which is a great things for kids...Let's be
frank, 10 year olds should not be hanging around casinos but the casino of the
Main Palms Hotel is easily accessible by simply walking upon a secure 2nd floor
pathway. You an be in the casino in like five minutes....
Some people have complained that the elevators take a long time...not me. The
elevators worked great even though we had some wind...of course, if you are
trying to take an elevator at check out time, you assume your own risk in
waiting or being late for some appointment!!!! So own up to it and be ahead of
schedule when checking out...Check out was painless and took five seconds.
Any negatives? Well, the second bathroom needed an evalauation for a water leak,
something did not quite smell right but I could not locate the source...the
Suite had a few light bulbs out but there is so much light from the huge windows
that it was no big deal. If you do blow a fuse, there is a fuse box in the unit.
There are also plenty of power plugs, something very handy for today's traveller
who is always charging something, like a DS!
The only Complaint if I had to stand on one is that the management should
contrive some way to open the beautiful balcony doors...even if it is just a few
inches to get some fresh air. Or devise a new door system such that some portion
allows a guest to open a door window. Any room can be stifling without fresh air
and I understand the liability and risk factor in allowing guests to access a
balcony but there should be some way to come up with a solution. The air
conditioner worked fine but it is just not the same as fresh air.
All in all, I will stay there again and I will recommend that any large group
with kids involved in sports and or sports teams stay here...assuming their kids
have respect for other people's privacy and know how to behave...
Our unit had a washer & dryer which was very handy as my son got sick during a
game so we had to wash his jersey. The TVs were great for kids and even had the
NHL Network! While we took care of ourselves, when we needed housekeeping, they
were on it. The showers speak for themselves as the 3 shower faucets get even
the dirtest little kid clean!
Bottom line, great location, great services, great value, loved it!

Recently stayed here on a 3 day business trip. I was probably not the typical
guest for this modern hotel but the staff treated me and my family like high
rollers. I wish i could name every person.
Used the onsite day care for a couple hours one night. You could tell the staff
had a long day w/ lots of kids but they were still friendly. This hotel is not
super close to the strip so i wouldn't recommend if you want to be able to walk
to the strip.
My room was the quietest hotel room i have ever stayed in and nothing smelled
like smoke. Rain shower was a nice touch.

What a fantastic weekend! I love this hotel :)...I took my husband here for his
Birthday and he was more than pleased. I have read several negative ratings and
was very unsure of my choice but once we arrived I realized I made a great
choice. The staff was a bit snooty at the front counter but I didn't really mind
as I was not there for them and only had to interact with them twice, once at
check in and again when we checked out. The room was very clean and had a great
view of the strip (room 31-318 studio suite). It did have a balcony but it was
locked, which didn't bother me as I don't enjoy heights. The room was freshened
up when we were out and it was very comfortable, although my husband thought the
bed was a bit soft..I loved it! I will for sure be staying here again and would
love to own a suite myself someday. The hotel is off the strip so you will need
to take a taxi to the strip or they do have a shuttle 2x a day. We drove to LV
so we used our own vehicle and it was perfect as valet pkg is free and the valet
attendants are very pleasant and attentive.
Thanks again for the great deal :)

Used the spa at The Palms in January. The personnel were very nice and helpful.
I had a back massage and the therapist was very good. The spa itself, IMHO, is
average. The steam room was too brightly lit and no eucalyptus. It was pretty
small. The lounge chairs were very comfy though. I usually use Qua Spa at
Caesars and this spa was not nearly as good.

First of all, Palms Place is not a hotel, don't be surprised if you expect to
stay in a fancy Vegas hotel like those on the strip. It is a condo, with a good
hotel quality. Rooms are clean, full mini bar, plenty of room, beds are so
comfortable. For smokers, there is a balcony, but you cannot open it for
security purposes.
Unlike crazy Vegas hotels, this one is a good peaceful place if you wanna do a
business and relax. A good spa, good massagers, I did not like Hamam maybe
because I am used to Turkish ones:)

We stayed at the Palms Place the weekend of January 15th, 2012. We stayed in a
studio suite 15-309. Don't let them put you into this room if you have a choice.
The hotel I must say is beautiful. The rooms are cozy, so cozy because of the
rooms terrible lighting. Don't plan on reading in there unless it is during the
day and you are sitting by the window so you can get the daylight to hit your
pages. The kitchen which we did not use, does comes fully furnished with dishes,
pots and pans etc. That is a plus, you don't find that option at The Planet
Hollywood condos. The front door man was great, he had the door open for you
before you could even get your hand out to open the door. He was always very
cheerful. The food at Simons was good. We had breakfast.
Room service was great. No complaints. Very fast service.

I've been dying to stay at this hotel for sometime. The Palms Place has a
separate entrance from the main portion of the hotel which makes the checking-in
process and use of the concierge a breeze. This portion of the hotel is very
quite. The reception staff was very nice. They gave me an option of a room with
mountain views or views of the strip. I choose the strip. The room was super
spacious and luxurious. My room had two large 50"+ TVs - one facing the bed and
another one facing the couch. Bath was super spacious with separate shower,
bath, toilet and sink areas. The view of the strip was amazing at night.
However, the doors to the balcony were locked. The staff told me they are all
locked due to guest dropping items off - pity.
One thing to note: If you want to spend time on the strip. Cab rides are
generally $10-15

Stayed here for business and while i enjoyed my stay i felt that every area
could have been improved as if management was lacking in the commitment to
spending . The property is a few years old now and
it seems they may be taking there eye off the details ..which accounts for
everything
Floors were cleaned but not often enough .I saw food particles lay there for a
while
Massage was great but expensive and music system was down
I needed something from the pharmacy( felt ill) and concierge promptly directed
me how to get there instead of perhaps offering someone to pick it up .Didn't
seem to care
Lunch only had a 40.00 buffet menu instead of ala carte. Had to eat off
breakfast menu
Store selection limited
The room while striking is getting a little worn and i didnt like the idea of
cloth headboards cleanliness wise) The casino was pretty dead and lacked
electricity
Okay now that i got that out of the way the bed was comfortable, the rooms and
bathrooms spacious much less hectic than the big brand hotels and the staff was
cordial especially in the restaurant. Food was good and there is a nice bar off
the lobby The hotel pool area and general public areas are very nice and despite
my criticisms i would recommend staying here if the price were right, though it
is more convenient to be on the strip

My girlfriend and I stayed for three nights. It was good the first night and
then it all went downhill from there. The first morning the Housekeeping team
refreshed the room which was nice. The next morning we left and were gone most
of the day and when we returned the Housekeeping team hadn't been in the room to
refresh. We had to call for service and asked for them to come within the hour
as we were preparing to go out for the night. No one every came. We left to go
out for the night and when we came back it still hadn't been refreshed so I
walked down to the elevator security and told him my situation. He called on his
radio to Hskp and had a Hskp Supervisor come speak with me and I once again
explained my situation. Within 20 min. someone was at our room to refresh it.
The following day no one came at all again. Frustrating to say the least!
When we first arrived to the hotel, we wanted to see the pool and when we went
out there, there was a Sunday pool party and they ID us. We just wanted to view
the pool and then left. The next day we decided to enjoy the pool in the
morning. I walked out of the elevator and the security guard asked where my
shirt was at and I said I was just going to the pool. He said that I needed a
shirt to walk through the casino which was literally 20 feet. Really? Once we
finally got the pool, half of the pool was roped off and were told we couldn't
use it. We chose to sit in another area and we got in the pool. When we came
back to the pool, a lifeguard came to us and asked us to move as they were
treating some water where our pool chairs were located. We moved to other chairs
and then decided to just leave because the staff was rude, the pool water was
cold and would have a better time somewhere on the strip.

Palms Place is a fantastic place to stay on a trip to Vegas. Whether you are
here for business or pleasure this hotel rocks! The rooms are large and modern
and only a short walk to the Palms Casino. The strip is a very inexpensive cab
ride away. I highly recommend the Palms Place and will stay there on every trip
to Vegas in the future.
