So we got this hotel at a great deal. 27 bucks a night! Great deal. Its older
and the casino is tiny compared to the big name hotels. Not near the the strip.
Thank God we had our own transportation! We stayed here for the rugby 7s. Feb
10th -12th. Staff was friendly and helpful. Had to speak with them a couple of
times because no one cleaned my room. they came up right away and cleaned the
room. We got the upgraded rooms. They were totally decent for the price. I would
hate to see the regular rooms! I noticed my 2 year old had gotten a rash the
very next day of our stay which seemed to get worse and worse as the days went
on. Just thought it was the dry weather. When i Got back to town I visited my Dr
and was told my son got RINGWORM!!!!! I was totally disgusted. My son got a
fungus from that stupid hotel!!!! Would I stay again? probly not! Ill pay extra
and stay at the Wynn.. Buffet was decent as well. just make sure you find out
about all the hidden fees etc...

Stayed here Feb 10 -15 as I was in a Wedding at this hotel. Wedding was great
and the Hotel staff did a fantastic job organizing. Front desk are quick and
efficient. However, they lack welcoming warmth. I had a room that was remodelled
and it was clean, comfy and quiet with a good view of the city and pool. The
Casino was overly smoky so I did not hang around them. Not a lot of action here
but just one block away you will enter the new strip of Las Vegas where it's
booming everywhere. I liked this location for it's convenience, price and that
it was quiet. I don't understand why they have resort fees for $ 11.00 per day.
The pool was not open and it was too smoky to hang around the hotel. Terrible
ventilation. WiFi is free but not consistently working all over the hotel. Room
service was quick and very tasty food. Good healthy choices to choose from.
However, Coffee was pricey. If you want cheap breakfast and good coffee then
Denny's is just a block away. Next to the Hotel is a food court where you can
get a variety of choices. The Taxis are overpriced but you can get the bus
everywhere for $7.00 all day pass. Hotel Airport shuttle from Riviera is only
$5.00. Good deal! When I went walking through the newer hotels they had signs up
saying no resort fees and although people were smoking the ventilation was good.
Next time I will probably choose Encore just down the street as I was able to
breathe there and there are no resort fees.
I don't think I would book here again due to poor ventilation.

All the terms used for out dated places. One of the cheaper spots on the strip.
Booked with Casablanca of course the room has only two doubles so we have to pay
for a upgrade to king bed. So much for customer service. Don't try VI. Bunch of
used car salesmen! The Asian food was lack luster.

Nice big rooms and clean. The rates were great best stay for the money. We were
comfortable when we were in the room. The bed slept comfortable. Went to
Johnathan Clark there. He was incredible!! A must see. He will be big time soon
their. and we see a lot of shows. The poolside cafe had great breakfast but you
paid for it. like $20.00 per person. I ate breakfast their all week if that says
anything. lol Under new ownership, so they have changed a few things around,
took a little to get use to but like they say change is good. needs some
updating but i would stay again.

This was perhaps the worst experience that I ever encountered in Las Vegas. They
charge a $7.00 resort fee but the pool was drained, free internet did not work,
and I cannot figure out where the resort part of the hotel is. I went to lock up
my laptop in the safe but they charge $3.50 per day. That's right, $3.50 per day
to keep my stuff safe from THEIR employees. Drinks in the lounge were the same
price as the top end hotels but here they were out of most of the popular bees
and drinks. It was obvious that the hotel is experiencing significant financial
issues.

Booked as part of a package with Expedia. Second time in Vegas. As we were there
for a week, and had a show to go to, we wanted to economise on accommodation.
Riviera is old-school Vegas, in serious need of a lick of paint and an upgrade.
Casino itself is worth a hour or so to experience old Vegas, but we other than
sleeping, we didn't hang around, or eat, in the hotel. Beds vaguely
uncomfortable and small, but room was spacious. No complaints about service or
other features, except the charge of $10 per day for wi-fi, when most other
hotels, bars, etc. give it for free to all patrons. Needless to say we didn't
pay it! |
