Stayed in January of 2012. In a regular room, no in room coffee maker. Internet
was not free. At least they had a hair dryer, iron & board. On a positive note,
the bed was one of the most comfortable I slept in for a hotel. You have to ask
them for a map of the place so you know where all the venues are. No fitness
center and the pool is outdoor and was closed. I had dinner at their steak
house. Don't get the prime rib special on the marque, instead get the
porterhouse on the menu. It was tender and cooked perfect. Went to a convention
there, meeting rooms were clean and out of the main traffic. Bowling was fun,
although not used to so much cigarette smoke. They had a shuttle that went to
the strip, but it stopped running around 7PM which was to early. You can get the
bus that runs down to the strip and back all night. Walgreens and Wal-Mart /
mall across the street. Bottom line is that I had a lot of fun. Make sure to
plan your flight along with the free airport shuttle.

Sunday - Thursday the prices are low except over holidays/special events etc.
Regular rooms are spacious; ours had a flat screen. If you have special needs
they try to suit you. They have movies, bowling, a lot of different restaurants
from McD to TGIF who have fabulous burgers, just mouth watering, and others.
Gambling for all pockets and styles. NOT smoky like some casinos. The pillows
were too large, bent the neck; we usually do but forgot to bring our own this
time. It's not on the strip, but I don't care for the strip, I'd rather have a
nice full service hotel with fringe benefits.

I loved this hotel because everything you could possibly need they had it and
then some. I loved that the location was so convenient to everything. It wasn't
on the strip but i was okay with that because it was my first time in Vegas. I
was very happy with the service and the staff. It was pretty amazing. There was
a water show with animals that was pretty cute as well

Good value for the price paid. Needed a place to stay for airport run. Did not
want to be on strip. Served our purpose. There is no coffee shop for breakfast .
We drove to another hotel to eat. The Mexican restaurant was excellent.

The saying that YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR, is not true at Sam's Town. You get
much more. The rooms are not as elegant as at the Bellagio, but you pay much
much less for that room which is always clean & pleasant. My wife has two
brothers who live in Vegas, that we visit twice a year. We stay at Sam's Town
for the whole time we are there, which is five to six days each time. We have
been going there for over fifteen years now. You never have to leave this place
because they offer so much to do. Besides gambling, they have a fast food court,
several sit down restaurants, & a buffet restaurant. A multi screen theater, a
very large bowling alley, outdoor swimming pool & a very large atrium which is
like sitting in a park, with a running stream, a coffee hut,& a bar. A very
relaxing place. It's off the Strip, but who cares. They also have a free shuttle
that will take you downtown.

We stayed in this hotel because of it's proximity to our children's houses.
While it was convenient, I found Sam's Town to be less than stellar in their
efforts. We were pestered every morning by the maid knocking, then entering the
room around 9:00 am every day to see if we wanted the room cleaned and the bed
made. I found this rude and intrusive.

We have stayed at this hotel numerous times over the years, as we go frequently
to Las Vegas to visit family as well as using Las Vegas as a jumping off point
for trips up into Utah, California or Arizona.

This is a lot calmer hotel than the ones on the strip. The indoor park area is
nice to sit and relax. It has a nice water show and laser show at night. The
bowling alley was a nice extra that you don’t find at the strip.

We visited this hotel at the end of October for 5 nights. When we arrived they
only had double rooms available and I had reserved a king 2 months in advance,
but there was nothing they could do. They put us in a 4th floor outside facing
room

Sam's Town is great. My wife and I have been staying there for the last 8 years
on our annual trek to Vegas. It has the best gambling in town. That is not just
my opinion it is a fact as verified by Casino Player |
