Casino very clean not gross and stinky like most. I hate the smell, of
cigarettes and it was not bad at all. The restaurants were all great though I
have to say Mexican one was my least favorite. The Mexican food was very
Americanized. I wouldn't bother trying that again. The Buffett was delish and I
am not a fan of buffets. The Sundance was great. The customer service was good.
The beds were comfy, the rooms were very clean, though the walls were pretty
thin. Nice place to stay off the strip. Will definitely return.

We have stayed here a few times over the last few years, what keeps us coming
back is the easy parking and friendly staff. We don't gamble much, we tend to
spend our money at the Bass Pro Shop, which is worth the stop by itself. The
sunset grill has great food and we have never had to wait to be seated. The only
con was our shower drain was plugged, watch that if you stay in 3080!

We really enjoyed our stay here. The rooms are very clean & have plenty of space
so you don't feel cramped. The bed was very comfortable. The casino is generous
when it comes to slots and you can earn a free buffet dinner very easily. We
tried most of their restaurants and the food was excellent and reasonably
priced. The average meal for 2 came out to $25. They serve Starbucks coffee at
the Sundance Grill - which is the equivalent to a diner and the variety was
astounding. Johnny Rockets was a fun spot for burgers and shakes. We ate at the
buffet on Friday night where they serve surf & turf with unlimited snow crab
legs and prime rib. The outdoor pool area is a pleasant place to sit & enjoy
some fresh air even if you don't feel like using the pool.
Another added bonus is the huge Pro Bass shop attached to the resort, especially
for any outdoor enthusiasts. They had a waterfall with a fishpond & ducks. There
were also some gun & archery ranges.
Next door to the Pro Bass store is a beautiful giant aquarium & if you go there
at the right time you can watch a scuba diver feed the sharks.
For those of you who enjoy Las Vegas, but can do without staying on the strip,
this is a nice choice. We were only ten minutes from the strip when we wanted to
drive there.
Please consider taking a trip to Red Rock and Valley of Fire Parks in the area.
They are worth it.

We recently stayed two nights at the Silverton hotel that is off the strip in
Las Vegas. We are non-gamblers staying for gymnastics competition. The hotel is
a good value for Vegas. It is nice that it is off the strip and the rooms were
clean. Our big problem with the Silverton was the restaurants. We ate there the
first night and the food and service was TERRIBLE! The hamburger that I ordered
was not edible, as was the omlett my wife ordered. Our 18 year old who usually
eats everything and anything could not eat his meal. There are plenty of GOOD
eating places going west on the road that the Silverton is on. We waited a long
time to get seated even though they were not busy - and then it took over half
an hour to get our food.
btw...the fish tank with mermaid is cool.

My friend and I stayed here while in Vegas. It was great. We was away from the
noise but yet transported anywhere we wanted to go. We will return, Rooms clean
and staff very friendly.

Couldn't sleep because of all the noise. Walls and floor so thin we could hear
conversation in the next room, walking in the room above us. After 2 nights,
checked out and went to another hotel.

We have stayed here 2 times...each stay one night each. This is not a place you
would want to stay for a vacation, but for a night or a 2 night weekend, it
could fit the bill.
Offstrip, about 15 minutes. Casino IS very nice, with ALOT of good slot games
and tables. Mostly locals. Mermaid Bar in the front lobby area is very
nice...right by the large fish tank and has good service, drinks & lite food.
Buffet is good too. We went on a Sat. night...it included wine as well for about
$20.00 a person. How can you beat that price and the food was good. Other
restaurants are on site...steak house & Mexican.
Rooms are VERY dark and resemble an outdoor motel/lodge. They do not fit with
the nice casino/lobby/bar/restaurant decor which is new & inviting. The entire
room, bed, linens, towels...well, they do kinda make you feel dirty. A/C is
LOUD...and has no real controls on it. It seems it is hot in the room even if it
is in winter.
Pool is small for the size of the place with not that many chairs. Near a major
freeway. We have never gone out, but I would think noise could be a real
problem. They have LOUD concerts some evenings, but, luckily, we were never
bothered.
Again, casino is great...we VERY much enjoy it. Say a night or 2 at most.

The Silverton Hotel may not be the most plush, but it is definitely a great
value for your dollar. The beds are probably the most comfortable that I have
ever slept on. I was quite surprised how busy they were mid week but that only
added to the fun. They have all kinds of promotions to accommodate everyone.
Good time.

I have been staying at the Silverton for the past 2 years on my business trips
and I can say that this place is top notch in all areas. The staff are very
friendly and helpful (something that is missing in the larger hotels on the
strip), the rooms are very clean and best beds ever, a great selection of
restaurants and plenty to do either in the casino or Bass Pro.
This is probably the best value as well for an awesome hotel so close to the
Strip.
this is a must if you want a break from the Strip!

Check in was easy and the clerk was very pleasant. We had a smoking room with a
not so great view of an alley way and building wall, but oh well. Didn't spend
much time in the room anyway so it was no great loss.

We just got back from a week-long stay at the Silverton Casino and it was great.
The Shuttle to the airport and to the strip was complimentary. Starbucks coffee
is served free on the Casino floor
