My wife and I stayed at the Stratosphere Presidents Day weekend 2012. We had a
very good time and enjoyed our stay. The service was very good and staff was
friendly. Even if you do not stay at this hotel I suggest you come to go on the
tower to see the beautiful view and try some of the rides. The tower has 3 rides
which are about $10-12 each and a sky jump which is just over $100 I believe. I
recommend the rides as long as you aren't afraid of heights. We did not use the
fitness center or the pool but did go out to see how the pool looked. The pool
seems nice and the view is beautiful. The room is average size and it comes with
a flat screen tv. The room did not come with a fridge, microwave, or coffee
machine. The room was decent but I didn't expect more for the price we paid. We
basically used the hotel just for showering and sleeping. We did not eat inside
the hotel. I would suggest that if you stayed at this hotel that you should do
the same, besides for the tower I would go out to the strip to eat and enjoy
your time. My biggest complaint would be that internet is not free so I didn't
even bother taking my laptop, I just used my phone. The other biggest complaint
is that it is all the way on the other end of the strip so it is a long walk to
the middle and other end of the strip. I would not recommend to walk that far.
Use public transportation or a tax or best of all rent a car. That is what we
did, I rented a car for the whole time I was there and it made life and the trip
so much better. Parking was free every where so this cut down on the walking for
us. We saw a few shows, went to all the big hotels, casinos, and malls. Went to
Hoover Dam, Red Rock Canyon, and Grand Canyon west rim. We had a great time and
even though we did not spend much time at this hotel we would suggest it besides
the few complaints we had. If you can find a better or similar hotel for the
same price which is closer to the middle of the strip I would go with that... it
would save you walking and transportation costs.

We stayed here for the great price of $305US for 5 nights. It was cheaper
booking with the hotel directly (on the internet) than with Expedia. The hotel
room comes with flat screen TV, but you have to pay for internet and if you want
a fridge in the room it was about $15 per night. The room I booked had two queen
beds and there was no option to get a queen and two singles. We could get a roll
away bed for and extra $20 per night. We didn't bother and made the kids share a
bed. You can get ice from various locations on each floor. The Italian resturant
at this hotel was reasonably priced and the meal sizes were big. If you try and
go for the early morning breakfast meal (about $6) and share then they charge
you an extra $2. (I thought this was a rip off so walked out and went to the
breakfast deal at the little casino across the road). The view was fantastic and
I recommend that you go up the viewing tower during the day and and night time
as Las Vegas looks different when viewed at different times. Overall this hotel
is a fair way up the strip to walk, but we had a car so it was no problem, we
would drive down to another hotel/casino and park there, then drive back at the
end of the day. You can also take the bus and it stops close to the hotel. The
good thing about this hotel was that the you couldn't hear people in the room
next to you. The bath was averaged size and the water was hot and had good
pressure. I would recommend staying here if you don't mind walking, or if you
are happy with public transport, or if you have a car. I thought the price was
very good for what you got.

My sister , myself , and my 16 year old niece went to Vegas from 2/14 - 2/18
2012 and stayed at the Stratosphere. The staff was very pleasant and friendly
but found it hard to know where my niece could be and not be. This was
throughout Vegas not really just related to The Stratosphere alone. I know that
Vegas is not all that friendly for kids but they do have families that ( and
plenty of them ) go to Vegas as well that Vegas does have Circus Circus which
was more friendly toward kiddos. The part that was hard is that some people (
employees ) that were darn rude about it !!!!!! Vegas expects us to see this
imaginary line where she was allowed to stand and not to stand I guess. They
really did not treat her like a human! There was plenty of things to do for us
like the Dolphin's at the Mirage which was AWESOME!!!!! We would have went back
twice but ran out of time :-)

Came down here with my bf for a 2 week work trio, unfortunately I am still stuck
here and counting the days. Rooms are gross, not thoroughly clean. service is
horrible they put sheets in our room to make our own bed! The floor manager also
literally harassed me out of the casino because i left my id up at the room but
i wasn't even gambling, i was getting my key from my bf! found mold on shower
hose, asked for a new room, and the other room was still dirty. I Call front
desk about a new problem everyday! They don't do anything. i also just got out
of taking a 2 min shower because they shut off my water without even a warning!!
Never again |
