This was our first visit to Las Vegas and I think we picked the right hotel. The
decor is beautiful at the Wynn, and the hotel provides a great location from
which to strike out and explore the rest of Vegas.
When I heard how many rooms it had I was a little worried that it would have no
intimacy but strangely this was not the case. I am sure that even after 5 days
we did not find all the areas of the hotel it really is big. We did eat at two
of the restaurants, the buffet restaurant for lunch was amazing! There was
unlimited everything! Most kinds of food and areas of the world were represented
here in this large and very beautiful eatery. It represented superb value for
money, but make sure you go hungry!
The tapas style restaurant in the hotel was not as good, the lighting level was
very low, to the extent we could not see the menu and the food was OK but
nothing out of the ordinary and we felt it was expensive.
The coffee shop we used several times served the best croissants I have eaten
for years and certainly as good as I have eaten in Paris. We found the coffee
much better in the morning than later in the day strange this, but coffee is all
down to the person making it so we guessed the best coffee makers were on duty
in the morning but it's unfair to generalise perhaps!

We had a room on the 29th floor and from here we could see for miles, the Trump
Tower of which there was a good view shone gold like a bar of gold bullion in
the sun.
It was a breath taking sight at night to press the button on the control panel
beside the bed and open the electrically operated curtains and see the fabulous
array of neon lights in the streets below. This control panel operated all the
lights in the room and the air conditioning too, I longed to have one at home.
The Room and bathroom had everything you could want and was spotlessly clean and
well equipped.
Beware of the mini bar though if you remove any item even if just to make space
for something you need to keep cool, in our case medicine, if the item is out of
the fridge for longer than 60 seconds it electronically gets charged to your
bill and there is a 25 dollar re-stocking charge.
We had chance to do some amazing things in Vegas and it really is the most
extraordinary place. We helicopter into the Grand Canyon and that was fantastic.
We visited white tigers, lions and dolphins in the grounds of one of the hotels
and a Venetian canal at another, sat in a piano bar located in the streets of
'Paris' and perused the fantastic Titanic exhibition at The Luxor, so many
amazing sights within such a short distance of one another.
We saw some good shows in the intimate and hotel theatres.

The forum shopping mall is a must visit and it's worth booking for 'Joes'
restaurant there, trendy and fabulous. The 'cheesecake factory' also at the
forum serves good food in large quantities and the cost is very reasonable. Try
the Italian ice cream from the cafe in the centre of the mall, yummy.
We did not gamble but you do not need to, it would have seemed like a bit of a
waste of time to be honest with so much to do!
I was sceptical of Vegas not sure it would appeal to me but I had fun and can
thoroughly recommend it!

We loved our room, the staff was so friendly. I loved the huge tub and separate
shower. The hotel was in a great location for walking to restaurants and other
hotels. I would highly recommend this hotel

The Wynn is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. Everything from Check
In, to Check Out was perfect. The room (Strip View) was very well appointed and
had everything you wanted. The Bathroom was spacious and well appointed. With
the Fashion Show Mall across the street and connected to the Pallazo via
footbridge you are well located on the strip. It's nice to stay in a Vegas hotel
that has a real sense of "class" unlike most others with a tacky theme. Granted
the stay was not the cheapest but you get what you pay for and I am looking
forward to going back next year. |
